You are one of the multitutde who believe people especially public office holders needed to be compensated for merely doing their jobs. Prople like you have failed to hold them to scrutiny because you believe it is their prerogatives to do or not to do. And that is why they treat you like trash, because apparently that is basically what you are. You are weak and powerless!

You mister need to learn what your rights are, and also the right processes to follow to enforce them.

So happy to hear this news, I listened to the program and felt for the woman.

I must commend Berekete family for speaking up for the voiceless and less privileged ones in the society. I also appreciate the quick and positive response from the Ag.IGP. Kudos Sir!!!

Maybe you do not understand the meaning of commendation and the difference it has with compensation before you continue to paint your self badly.
Why do people say Thank you to a waiter after serving them? Is he not being paid to do so?
Why will a Military Man be given a medal for fighting war, is that not what he swore to do?
I guess mayb commending pple for doing what there are supposed to is something that you are just learning on nairaland.
Who ever does his Job well should b commended ma irrespective of whether private or public.
Not commending someone because u feel he's doing what he's being paid to do does not make u strong or powerful ma.

AFTERMATH OF REALITY RADIO/TV TALK SHOW, Ag. IGP ARASE RESTORES OFFICER’S SALARY TWO YEARS AFTER REMOVAL FROM PAYROLL.

The Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Solomon Arase, NPM, fdc, this morning directed the restoration of salaries due to F/No. 09527 W/Sgt Ajuma Ibrahim attached to Lagos State Command with immediate effect, including payment of all arrears. The Sergeant had been sick for some time.

This issue was brought to light when ‘Brekete Family’ a Reality Radio/TV Talk Show during today’s edition made a live phone call to Ag. IGP Arase to intimate him about the plight of the police officer whose salaries have not been paid since June 2013. The IGP invited the Talk Show Crew to his office. After due briefing from the Budget office of the Force, it was discovered that the subject’s inability to fill the required emolument forms and processing the same in compliance to extant regulations led to the salary predicament.

The IGP immediately ordered the resolution of all the issues and restoration of her salary. He also directed the transfer of the subject from Lagos State Police Command to Force Headquarters Abuja and directed the Force Medical Officer to ensure she gets urgent access to needed and required medical attention.

The IGP again assured the Public that the Nigeria Police Force is responsive and responsible and that reported issues of neglect in personnel welfare as well as cases of injustice to members of the public would be promptly addressed.
