Correction. These are not Nigerians. They are British Citizens with Nigerian Ancestry.

Very likely they have never been to Nigeria and where they have, Nigeria owes them nothing but their ancestry and names. If you passed them on the streets of London, they will not be able to connect to the Nigerianess but will be British in their ways and their thinking.

Nonetheless, that they have their roots here and their parents prepared them well enough to aspire to lead and guide policy making in Britain is what we should commend - their parents or grandparents were the ones who sacrificed to give a brighter future for their families.

Still, I congratulate them for their success at the polls.

There is nothing like half white. Is either you are white or not. As she is, she must have suffered racism as the darkest african living. To a white person, there is no difference. In the US even if you are as white as clinton but have a black parentage of any sorts, you will be regarded as a pure black. Google one drop rule and you will understand better. They all have nigerian fathers and suffers racism even though they may not have any trace of been black. It will shock many first timers in the US schools to see pure white kids that are classified as black even though there are no obvious differences with white kids.

Don't worry I understand the one drop rule and the challenges mixed race kids face.
I was only drawing attention to how we "full" black people accept the inherent racism in the one drop rule by automatically considering & accepting without questioning, half white people as black.
