Well said dear. No I didn't apply. I thought of applying to commonwealth but when I saw that Nigerians are involved in the processing, I got discouraged.

I applied for ish too and now got an acknowledgement and a nigerian email at the end.I became discouraged too.you know naija too get bad belle.

d speaking part was kinda funny tho coz I didn't prepare ...d first part was on shopping, advertisement so it was pretty cool... d cue card part was 'I shld describe any experience I've had in traffic...and of course part 3 was all on traffic matters...

d writing essay was on d 'current and future effects d of ever-increasing population of children below 15 in some countries. (paraphrased tho) a bit tricky I must say..

so sorry 4 d late response.... well d thing is dat der isn't any Ielts center in Benin unlike abj, lag and co. but Benin is amongst d 7-8states in Nigeria ielts is conducted in. all I did was register and pay online..about 35k. d center in abj are d ones in charge of Benin. so lyk 7days prior to d test date, I got a mail dat d test will hold at constantial hotel Benin. i went der and wrote. alotta peeps from ibadan and lag sef also came.

Jst go online and register and choose Benin...I hope dis helped.

If I were you, I'll just relax cos they always get in touch. However, you can be proactive and contact them via email. Dont even bother calling BC, that number doesnt work

you are asking this question by this time? you better go to road to ielts and start practising.Also you can also google ielts essentials and download practise materials.mine is on 16th.They would contact you for your speaking test soon i hope

Well the first place to start would be IELTS' own practice materials like stepo707 said. However, I have since found IELTSbuddy.com to be an invaluable site for last minute preparation. I found the writing practices there very useful.

Hello, I've tried but didn't get any useful info. Are these the numbers you called? 01-4603090-9. Have you tried going to their office in Ilorin or the venue where you had your speaking test? I'm sure you'll find someone to address your issue there. Let me know what's up.

I dont even know there address in Ilorin. have sent some1 to there office in lagos. i will get reply from the person soon.

they just called me now. They said that they call all candidates dat supposed to do theirs in ilorin on 9th, last week. They av logistic problem with ilorin on that day.They gave people too options last week; eida switch to lagos center or reschedule to 30th in ilorin but my numba didnt go through( which i dont agree with). now the only option left is waiting till 30th.

dont worry about it.I had similar problem ,wrote an extra digit in my passport no.make the complaint to the officer that will capture u on your test day,it will be rectified right there and then.Had my speaking test yesterday,the examiner noticed and sent me back to d capturing officer.its really nothin to loose sleep over.wish u d best

Amen. seriously, i dont believ an international body like british council can act in that awkward way. I sent several mails to there official email address (approx 1/day), call there official office nos, they asked me to drop my messages; but all my method got no feedback, not even a text mesage from them. 1 of my brother went there 2de to complained about my case. he was given a mail by an attendant and asked to tell me to complain and forward my data via the email. To cut it short, i got a call few minute after i sent the mail. to my surprise, i got a mail just 3 minutes after our conversations that my test has been transfered to 30th. instantly, the date of exam in my candidate area was updated to 30th. i was just wondering, if they are't aware of the implication of there inadequate info. they failed to pass info via any means for days, when they are able to call, send e-chat and upgrade status within 10minute

For writing I used a pencil for Task 1 but I realized I was slow with it and time wasn't on my side, so I used a biro for task 2.

Caveat: With a biro, please get a draft of your ideas before writing. You can only write directly on the provided sheet if you're confident that you would make minimal mistakes or have thoroughly rehearsed. Success!!

.You can take your phone along with you,but the moment u get to d test venue,british council will provide a place where u can drop ur things for safe keeping.just put it on silence or switch it off.All the best

I'd advice you leave your phone at home so you can have rest of mind except it's not an expensive one. As for the clock, there is but you wouldn't even need to look at it cos you'd be bent on beating time and the examiners would be announcing it for you sef. lol

Yes there is a central clock.You will not be allowed to go into the hall with your wristwatch.But d ielts officials will be notifying u of d time u av left from time to time.
