It has been a whole day of watching cartoon on the tv at home. And so after much ado,I eventually won the case of who holds the remote control at home. With the help of "Peanut Snacks" I was able to get them (the opposition team aka cartoon watchers) sign an MOU on who holds the remote control at home.

OP you didn't try, your bribe is too readily available . I used to sign MOU until I realised they don't care (my nephews and nieces) so I resigned myself to Cbeebies, Nick Jr and Disney Jr (Mr Maker ftw!! ). My pikin and I are going to do endless hours of "Nina and the Neurons" or "Numtums". ; D

Start enjoying some anime, CN shows a lot but even better buy them awesome toys, then make up one gangster game like that, you and madam play it with much noise and fanfare but dont invite them. Trade the game for the remote controls. And whenever they fight over which channel they want to watch, "punish" them by taking the remote and watching what you want to watch till they both agree or leave the sitting room.

Works like a charm.

Btw kids of about 8 can watch CNN (my dad started us at about that age). Helps them learn new words and ask smart questions.

I've bn forced to start watching cartoons all over again and kind of enjoying it. I get to watch news channels when she's sleeping.

Lol funny, thank God for extra TV in the room. These kids can turn you to a toddler, imagine me singing and jumping to Disney junior rhymes. Chai

I suffered this too...:/ my sister who is one year older than I am plus my lil brother who is eight years younger would form alliance...this rebel group became worse when my cousin came from the United States to study in Nigeria...he too joined them so it became 3 against 1...My mum obviously joined their camp cos she wanna pleaae the youngest kid as usual and my dad would just be watching the drama in 3D FROM A DISTANCE cos he'd get his news online...him no get time for all that...but after a while trust what they call assimilation I was initiated into their group but with some sorta unavoidable coercion... not until I became smart and take away the av cable...or sometimes leave only the audio cable and hide the video cable...notwithstanding my mum would yell for me to #BringBackOurCable ...but now we all left for school and the lil nigga is in his own world...absolute control...no shaking gidigba
