Flyca, just out of interest, how do you manage communicating with the locals? I mean outside of the main city centres?

Also, speaking the language is one thing, but being able to read and understand is another. How do you cope? undecided Two years is that much IMHO...

Ma, by locals I don't mean village people cheesy. I live and school in the 3rd biggest city in the country, so I'm in a major city. The thing is that English is very difficult for the Chinese people, and Chinese is very difficult for non-native speakers.
For me, I can say, I am very proficient in the every day usuage Chinese but when it comes to explaining how circuits works and why they work they way they do, power generation, stuffs like that (scientific technicalities), I need English to cross over that bar. Lol

Lol. I will say, to a great extent, I have jumped that hurdle. As I said, everyday Chinese is no problems for me anymore.

it was really an emotional day for me. Seeing my kid sister after 10years, is really a happy and emotional experience for me. I realized how much have missed my her, my mum and my family been together just like that of my friends.
