Yes.Just as God changed his will for king Hezekiah but that singular act of not allowing Gods will to be done brought about the birth of Manasseh and the bible recorded that Manasseh did that which was evil in the sight if the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen. This made the lord visit his anger upon the jerusalem and judah.Read 2kings chapter 20 and 21. |

At the very basic level.... It's not. But there's something I've come to believe as the Good will ... Permissive will and Perfect will of God . I think it's possible to pray your intention towards the first two and make it flexible enough to suit you, but it's impossible to pray your way into effecting a change when God's perfect will is involved - Case in point, praying for the devil to be born again. Nothing can change God's mind about the devil going to perish in the lake of fire. My personal thoughts. |

Praying for wat u wish/want doesn't mean u can change God's will cos even if God answer ur prayers it is still his will..prayers only make God answers fast |

There are two types of will here. God's perfect will and permissive will. If you want His will changed, He gives you permissive will. |

There is a Perfect Will of God for us. Often times God grants us "permissive will" due to our insistence and impatience. It is far best and glorious for God's Perfect Will to prevail rather than His permissive will. |

I don't think God's will can be changed! Even the bible made us to understand that b4 we were born God knew who we will become...and also he's will is always that of good...but because the devil will always fight to change that will...dats y we always pray... And we pray not for God to change his will for us but for him to make it come to pass! |

Some can be changed because God is merciful while some can not be changed because dat could b d best option for us just like hezekiah who's wish was granted and christ who's wish wasnt granted despite his prayers. |

Jackeeh:You survived that illness not because you changed God's will but only because your time is not up. Bro, if your time is up, if you like pray from now till infinity.... You will leave this earth. This is one of the reasons I pity Christians... Ignorance at its peak. So, you really think that all these people that die in accidents that none of them prayed before embarking on a journey? Or in Nepal where ten thousand died? You guys dont really understand what is happening in this world. |

Changing God's will is same as changing God. If you think you can change God's will, you are not far from taking the place of God. God can change his judgement but not his will. |

I think the term "God's will" is rather ambiguous and would serve different purposes in different contexts. If we study through scripture, we can however understand somethings about the will of God. 1) God has immediate wills that is usually revealed and might even be changed by prayer usually to detrimental events. Case study: Hezekiah's llifespan 2) God has a sovereign will that belongs to Him by reason of His Omniscience. The sovereign will of God is the mirror through which the almighty views the universe. Hezekiah's prayer was already part of the sovereign will of God. Man has no business in the sovereign will of God. Case study : Acts 4 : 28 They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. This doesn't in any way absolve of sin or justify wrong doing. It is simply an acknowledgement that God is Omniscient. 4) The whole purpose of man's life is to search out the will of God and do it. God is perfect and just and will never make a mistake. That is the purpose of Romans 12:2 Hezekiah's life in the fifteen years was a major part of the events that triggered the destruction of Israel years later. 5) We have no power to force or impose our will on God. He may step aside and allow our will because he wants to show us the folly of our ways but scripture doesn't teach that God will allow us control Him. I'll answer respectfully laid down contentions. |

WHEN GOD TOLD HEZEKIAH THAT HE SHOULD PREPARE HIMSELF BECAUSE HE'LL DIE, HE REJECTED HIMSELF TO SEEK GOD'S FACE VIA PRAYERS & THEREBY GOD REVERSES HIS WILL THROUGH HIS PRAYERS. |
