I am a new wordpress blogger. I chose the premium plan (89 pounds) per year. right now, I have till wednesday to enjoy my 2wks free trial. I currently wish to opt out of this plan and go for the free plan. my question is, after wednesday, will my account be degraded to the free plan If I dont pay up?

The first plugin to install in a new wp installation is iTheme Security....to guard and secure your installation and prepare the ground for further installation of plugins......for Yoast WP SEO.....I still believe in having the content people are looking for and a mobile friendly theme...then you will surely have your traffic....I mnange some wp sites and their traffic has been organic and not using SEO..because people are in need of the content on those sites.....I will talk more at a seminar soon....

Yeah, you are right about securing WordPress, forget that for a bit. But I prefer WordFence Security, thats what I use.

And though I agree that content is king, getting your content in front of the right audience (aka traffic) should also be a priority. And optimizing for search engine traffic (SEO) is a no-brainer with Yoast WP SEO plugin.

Sweetheart what's the need of calling names? You won't find Forest of a Thousand Daemons in Ebook. You have to buy it on eBay or Amazon. I bought mine at Ojuelgba in January.

Oh my bad! ' didn't know the reply was harsh. I was only responding to your initial reply. Sowwie, but the books have pdf e-copies, I even have one on my PC, the problem is, its only the first two chapters.

If you have a personal internet, check Forest of a Thousand Daemons on Google Books and save for offline reading. The book is very interesting.

hold on a minute! why would you pay for the premium plan if you're just starting out? for 90 pounds you could get 3 years web hosting account and download wordpress for free from wordpress.org

all those plugins are free and you don't need anyone to do it for you. Spend an hour or two reading how the system works and you'll be surprised how easy it is.

I'll remove google sitemap and all-in-one-seo from that list. Instead, use "Yoast WordPress SEO" which is far more robust. It has xml site map feature and a lot more. It's like 300 times better than all-in-one-SEO.

Don't forget:
1) Wordfence Scan - for site security and firewall.
2) Yet Another Related Posts Plugin - to further engage your visitors with related and relevant articles.
3) WP to Twitter -to auto post snippets of every new article or blog post to social media for link juice and interest.
4) Kraken Image Optimizer or EWWW Image Optimizer - auto optimize images

If you like the work, support the writers/authors by buying the book. it's as simple as that.
You'll feel better when you start doing that. Buy the e-version from a reputable online store to make sure the authors get their share.

Yeah, you are right, I could have bought the book if I liked hard copies, I only need the e-copy I would read and dispose.
