Convicted Soldiers. I use this medium to appeal to President Goodluck Jonathan to use his power as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to release some soldiers who are currently in military confinement for various allegations about their encounter with the Boko Haram terrorists. These soldiers who could not resist the fire power of the insurgents and only escaped to survive the massacre of the sect should be considered for the amnesty of the President. Such leniency from the President as a parting gift would further consolidate his name in gold in the annals of Nigeria’s history. These soldiers would live to appreciate him as long as they live for saving them the trauma of their various jail terms. They will be useful to this country with the skills they have acquired in there careers |
