If it was as a result of fear. A lot of you remain glued to your seat, holding tight the seat belt shouting Jesus or panicking in your heart whenever there is a serious turbulence. Is that not what fear makes you pass through. But this man out of humility to God, defile any distraction and come down on his kneel to pray.

You have to understand that humility is never prompted by fear. It has nothing to do with fear. It is the man who comes to the realisation of the greatness of his Creator and the insignificance of his own being that is humble. This realisation informs his mindset and his outlook on life as a whole, this is what humility is.

When fear pushes you to acts of piousness and displays of servitude you cannot be said to be humble even if you prostrate on the ground crying out in what we think passes for prayer.

Besides the man kneeling in the airplane during turbulence is even exposing himself to more risk because he is no longer held fast by his seatbelt and can very easily smash his head into something.

Don't mind these fickle minded folks. Am not an atheist but I feel so annoyed each time I see things of this nature. It's as if the world is coming to an end only here in Nigeria so that you've to capture everyone's attention with your prayers before going out to buy recharge card on the street. Damn!

I totally agree with you, but in fairness a pentecostal praying on a plane is only a public nuisance while the shout of allahu akba in any crowded place but a mosque inspires mortal fear.

I support praying in this situation except that he should have prayed before he enter plane ..
because in this situation he cannot control the plane or the weather ..basically his life is in the hand of the pilot ..so he has to pray for God to take control before he entered the plane and thank God after him land :-)

There nothing one wouldn't hear on this issue. Funny enough it is business class and the person that took the picture is in business class. He wasn't disturbing anybody by praying. The issues of the kingdom of God are always seen in bad light by many. It is obvious that as Christians we would always be persecuted by our very own brothers and sisters and if possible left for the dead. Engr A........ pls carry on sir, God loves you.
