My thought too. With Nigeria Police, anybody is a "SUSPECT" and every "SUSPECT" is a criminal even before being judged as such by a competent court of law.
I JUST PRAY THEY ARE THE REAL PERPETRATORS AND NOT SOME INNOCENT SOULs PACKED FROM THE STREET TO PROVE THAT THEY (the police) ARE 'ON TOP OF THE SITUATION'.

They do record a few sucesses....and most of their problems are due to lack of supporting structures.

For example....I watch Crime and Investigation channel on DSTV. On one of their shows...the Police had found a dead body...which was decomposed. They called in an entomologist....who , based on the insect life in the body....was able to determine the time of death.

And DNA too helps solve many American crimes.

Now in Nigeria...do we have DNA database? CSI units? Blood spatter analysts? Records? Fingerprint databases? In a se''''ual assault case....do we have kits that can take swab?

Our Police may be made up of lots of bad eggs....but the problems they face are far bigger.

Forget that thing...the only way to solve criminal investigation such as these is to have an adequate database-cars tags,human facials,records and prints-, a sophisticated forensic detachment and electronic gizmos.....The NPF is notoriously incapable of such new-generation capabilities thus they use age old tactics of scapegoats and propaganda to fool Nigerians.

Same police that accused me of beating up a police woman that I've never seen before in my life angry

Thank God we were at shoprite here at the palms, I told them to do their worst.

They were already threatening to beat me up, but I told them to do so while facing the camera and that I'm never entering their vehicle.

All this because I parked my car inside the palms and trekked to the Mobil filling station next door and next thing you know, I'm an armed robber.

Abeg, I can't trust these guys, not yet.

A cousin of mine was involved in an armed robbery incident in lagos, but I tell you he was hunted right to akwa ibom state where he went to hide.

Although at the end of the day it was discovered he was framed up because the criminals were close friends who used to live with him in his house.

Although the family and extended family spent. A huge some to clear him off police net but that incident told me never to under estimate this our Nigeria police.

Do it at your risk.

They may be corrupt o no doubt but I tell you they have more connections within and outside the criminal world than most criminals themselves.

Why would anyone believe them sef.

The same police riding around with rickety vehicles that can't even pull up information digitally from a drivers license, mtcheew.

All they know is point and shoot and round up by standers.

I may sound pessimistic, but inside I'm an optimist and a realist.

I'm optimistic that we'll get there one day with the police force, same with power and everything else. However, I'm realistic in the sense that thee guys can't investigate jack shhh

The sensational robbery incident that led to the death of five persons happened on 12 March, 2015 in Lekki area of the state.

The suspects were pararded on Wednesday by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Kayode Aderanti at Ikeja, Lagos.

The four suspects are gang leader, Duke Odogbo, 38, Lawrence Kingsley, 31, Ebi Tosan, 20, and Ekelemo Kuete, 30.

Aderanti said exhibits recovered from the suspects include a Honda Accord 2008 model car, military fez cap, phones and 130 expended ammunition.

He said during the robbery operation, five people were shot dead, three policemen and two civilians.

The policemen killed were Inspector Bethel Agbobu, Sgt Odehohwo George and Cpl Imoisiu Ikechukwu.

The two civilians killed were Mr Sowemimo Kabiru and 15-year-old fish seller, Miss Sarah Ibikunle.

Aderanti said after the incident, he summoned a meeting of various commands and directed the Officer in Charge of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, SP Abba Kyari to take charge of operations to fish out the suspects connected with the robbery.

He said the O/C SARS deployed advanced technology and human resources to Delta, Ogun, Ondo and Ikorodu, and in the course of the operations, one of the suspects, Odogbo the leader of the gang was arrested in Delta State.

Odogbos’s arrest led to the arrest of other suspects who will be charged to court soon after the police have concluded their investigations.

The worse, if you kill your victim either deliberately or not, the blood you spill will cry for justice and within 6 months, you'll be arrested, tried by the law and killed too. So work hard and make a honest living.
