Firstly I give God the glory for being alive to share this Tragicomedy trip of mine.....Clear throats, After my session break in Unilorin which is long vacation I decided to go home [lagos] by train...So I entered a cab from sanrab tanke to challenge (challenge in ilorin is where the train normally moves from) on getting to challenge I decided to withdraw some cash at oceanic bank now Ecobank to spice up my trip inside the train...I was on the queue to collect money when the train starts....I ran alittle bit on the tracks to hop in cos I just have to feel the vip setting which is #1100 to lagos....CHUCKLES....when I turned back behold I saw my departmental guy he asked me why am I running after the train I told him I want to feel the trip to lag he said there is no prob that we can still catch up I looked at him and said guy stop am jare if na play....Then he started to analyses the movement of the train and how trains usually have stop over and how they operates....He told me the train will stop at Offa to pick up some locals who usually sells alcohols for them and they will spend nothing less than 15mints at that particular terminal....so from ilorin we boarded a bus going to offa to catch up,On our way to offa there is a robbery inprogress at one Gtb we are forced to park @ one very dirty mechanic shop where black oil is everywhere...my guy and I prostrated on the floor praying till the robbers left...by the time we get up my guy said to me- GUY: guy the train go stop for osogbo ME: guy I no wan risk am again me wan enta bus dey go lag here GUY: I no get much on me e go beta make we go 2geda cos I wan drop @ IB
We decided to board another bus from offa to osogbo to catch up with the moving train...this time around the old man that carried us slow pass snail even mikel fast pass am evryone in bus where like driver move fast nau is somthing wrong with your car ...my passengers sorry o na jeje (gentle) life I com o the old man replied....by then I got so angry that I nearly overtake the driver's sit.
Now at Osogbo....immediately we get down from the bus we are told the train just left now..aarrrggg I told my guy- ME: brother abeg whre we go enta sorle (moving bus) to lag? GUY: baba no worry we go enta korope (very small bus) to ikirun or ede sha ...have forgotten mayb ikirun or ede sha ME: okk make we dey go its almost 5pm then......when will get to the said place we entered one bukka(small canteen) I ordered for eba cos I feel need more energy to complete my journey my guy order same too as we are eating the canteen madam asked us if we have come along way cos we looked like refugees from somalia I smiled and told her...madam it has not been easy getting here.
Now at the roadside waiting for any available bus to lag...its around 5:50pm then...we waited for almost an hour before one new sienna vehicle stopped....when we enter inside the car I have strange feelings cos everywhere is full of smoke flame the owner and his friend looked at us at the back and said we should not be nervous that they are actually coming from uniosun where their galfrnds are schooling....I look at them and said Sir we are students from unilorin and we are going home for break...the man said waow that's good we should exchange numbers so whenever they visits my sch we will arrange babes for them....at that point I know these guys are just normal people who likes to have fun and play around with school babes....The man said to us that he's stopping at ibadan that we should find our way from there...my guy said to them that he's even going to ibadan when we dropped its already 7pm and I need to get to lagos which no one knows am coming home.
From IB now to lag comes another struggle with the conductors.

*relaxing my thumbs*

By the way, How is serving? Hope you're enjoying all want Benue has to offer?.

I wish Oooo... benue made a mistake of not specifying weda to be on stream 1 or 2.. so everyone turned up at the camp.. which made things complicated.. coz it was over filled... shop registration had to be stopped and the rest of us were sent home to return by June 2 after been paid back our transport fare... I was among... so just chilling jejely for June 1st.. looking at anoda long journey again..

Mine was during my service year.

I had to embark on a journey from Akungba-Akoko to Lagos because I had an interview the following day and I didnt want to miss it for any reason.

I boarded a vehicle around 10am in front of Adekunle Ajasin University Campus gate. I did this to save both money and time....(a decision i regretted taking later). I met only 2 passengers in the vehicle.

On getting to Owo (30 mins journey), the driver turned around and started heading towards Akungba because he needed more passengers. At that point, I decided to ask for my t-fare, only for the nigga to tell me he wouldn't refund my money. That was how we kept looking for passengers till 12pm before we finally embarked on our journey.

The bus was moving slowly. I was already suspecting that it was faulty. About 2 hours later, the driver parked. He bent down to check something under the vehicle. Then he brought out some tools to do some repairs. We spent close to 2 hours there. We were angry, tired and hungry. He finally fixed it and we continued our journey. 30 minutes later, he started searching for his fone. Then he remembered that he left it under the vehicle. That was how we had to turn back. By the time we got back there, someone had taken the phone. We called and the guy told us to come to Akure to take the phone. I almost started crying(as old as i am..lol)..

We spent some minutes there, trying to decide what to do. We persuaded him that he should collect the phone wheneva he would return to Ondo state. He finally agreed. It was already getting to 5pm by then. We continued our journey. The remaining part of the journey was uneventful except for the heavy traffic around redemption camp.

I finally got to Lagos around 10pm. That was how a journey of 5 hours took 12 hours!!! :

why didn't you report the driver to the most available security agent or uniformed personnel?you are the cause of your predicament

Whatever. I am a proud product of Ilorin. Nobody is looking for your errors, they are just too obvious. Education makes you tolerant and respond to issues differently. We are all bound to make mistakes, but learning to take admit our mistakes and ultimately making corrections is the most important factor that distinguishes us as students or graduates.

I'm late, but I'd like to share.
In 2008 having just resumed school I wanted so much to go and see my offshore boyfriend in Port Harcourt. I didn't call him or notify him. I just finished registration and told my friends I was off. So I got to the park and there was no direct PH bus. I was asked to go to Ankpa and I did. Got a bus that stopped in Enugu, boarded another going to Aba, then finally got the PH one at 7pm.
All these time, my mama no know say I dey road o.
We got to Eleme like past 9, my battery has died, I only remembered that from oil mill I'll take cab to No 9. Canon Ndu.

I confidently took a cab and got to the place to find out that he had moved. like, he no linger lives there. In one corner of the compound was a structure looking like a shrine and I didn't remember ever seeing it on previous visits. My head doubled in size.

I moonwalked out of the compound and asked a woman selling in a kiosk his whereabouts and she said he had moved to Rumomasi or so. See as I burst cry. All these like past 10.00pm o. And my mom would have been praying that God should guide her daughter in school.

She pitied me and took to a place to get cab. Luckily for me he just got back 3 days earlier. I for just enter one chance. Called my mom as soon as I charged my phone and she warned me never to try such again.
RIP Ola dear.
Thank you for making me laugh this early morning cheesy
