Currently, Tinubu is being addressed as the Leader of APC. But we all know well that the leader of a party at the state level is the State Governor, while at the national level is the President. A perfect example is the case of Kwankwaso and Shekarau when the former joined the party after the APC merger. While Shekarau has been the leader of APC in Kano state from ANPP, he was asked to relinquish the position to Kwankwaso who was the state governor the moment he joined.

Now going back to Tinubu, will he still be addressed as the leader of the party after May 29 when Buhari takes over as president. Also considering the fact that Atiku has become the BOT chairman and Oyegun the national chairman. This might just be the final plot to oust Tinubu from the political equation of Nigeria, from relevance and control of the SW.
Looking at the sudden relationship blossoming between Buhari and Obasanjo, and the adoption of Fashola and Fayemi by Buhari.

Buhari is the president of Nigeria. A president doubling as a party leader is one of the issues Nigeria has. A party man remains a party man and when it comes to party issues, he is subject to the dictates of the party president or not.

That is why Buhari said people who defect are not going to get any office in his government he then referred everyone to the chairman as to whether the party will accept defectors because he knows how these things are done. He does not control the party, the party leaders does.

Simple logic is who controls the APC in Lagos?

Tinubu will for ever remain relivant as far as APC is concern. Buhari may decide to reliquish that title or abi office to Tinubu. Let them be, they will sorth out things for themselves.

Let's not forget hw Yaradua and Obasanjo's cordial relationship gradually deteriorated, the same thing has happened between Obj & GEJ despite him helping both men to secure the presidency. When Buhari is fully in charge, Tinubu might suffer this same fate also.
