I laughed each time i saw a Niger Deltans threatening a whole country with war. It used to be a riot military response to militants stupidity in the past; Obasanjo and Yar Aduar administration.

Listen, no matter how rich few individuals are, they wouldn't be able to absorb the economic firepower of federal govt even ordinary state government.

Historically, ask Ojukwu to narrate his ordeal to you cos he had experienced it before with well trained army officersߧ as commandants. The billions of naira in the Accounts of Militants and their Godfathers-Edwin Clark could be rendered useless if Nigeria choose that path before killing millions of them on their own land. No country will question Nigeria about it.

It's be a suicide mission for Niger-Deltans excluding Edo and Ondo state. I only pity the old, women and small children

Besides the money can be channelled to other pressing needs in the same Niger Delta region for better development and result oriented projects that will have a direct and positive economic effect on the people.

What people fail to understand is the difference between peacekeepers (JTF) and full declaration of war. In full war every means including bombing of entire communities, massacre, looting, rape, blockade and starvation is employed. Even the pipelines will be bombed to increase mortality of rebel areas by making their waters polluted.

Don't mind that cowardly keyboard warrior. He has issued so many warnings and ultimatums yet the real players on the ground he relied on (GEJ, et al) continue to let him down by showing they are first self-serving individuals who are entirely about themselves above playing 'strongman' to please some deluded e-warriors.

This is the problem. Jonathan's five years has made many Nigerians to feel that leaders capitulating to the blackmail of every common thugs, as GEJ did, is the norm. We will see who will come out on top here. All that some emotional and ethnocentric Nairalanders know to do is beat their skinny chest and exaggerate the strength of their kinsmen and corner. They are proven wrong daily yet they still shamelessly come here to mouth-off like this Chukwudi44 chap.

Even the militants will quickly know that 'level has changed' if they mess with Buhari. We will see whether they still have the sympathy of their own people, let alone other Nigerians and the world, as was the case in the past when it was thought "their cause is just". GEJ has fed them fat for 5 years, with many becoming billionaires, yet the ordinary people of the ND are totally disenfranchised from this largess shared among the leaders of the region. These guys have outlasted their use for anybody. It is now clear they were only fighting for their own pocket. Post amnesty, what has GEJ, NDDC, billionaire militant warlord et al done for the ND region? What has the billions Tompolo, Boyloaf et al made from the official patronage of GEJ done for the ordinary folks of the ND? We only need to look at how oga pata-pata (GEJ) was completely abandoned by all but Fayose to know that these militants will be on their own if they decide to square up to Buhari.

All these will take time and are only possible if there is peace. Reforms don't take place in times of conflict. To change gear you engage the clutch not turn off the engine. Reform yes, but ease off the status quo ever so wisely. May Buhari's supporters not push him to taking rash decisions or he will face similar problems as he did in the eighties.
The status quo is legally, politically and morally unacceptable in the face of unimaginable high level of oil theft. To add insult to injury nobody has and could been held accountable.

Do you know the meaning of the word call "Extinction". Try it and see the bitterness. Instead of you guys to fashion out a way of liberating each others, some corrupted guys and high chief among you plus Mr Jonathan continue selling you out for their own benefits. Have you ever thought, why Asari will go and build a University at Benin republic? What has become the amnesty payment to the militants over the year, and of what benefit was it to the Niger Delta? What about the protection of the pipeline money, who are the one benefiting from it? I'm so use to the Niger Delta and even from my close friends and associate there, they were not happy with the ways the President is handling the affairs of Niger Delta. I would love if Niger Delta should stand up for themselves not for some silly guys that call themselves militants and yet, they are not even doing anything for ordinary people in that region.

A General is always a General. By the time a combined force of US, UK and ever gallant Fulani soldiers hammer 2 weeks of non-stop bombardment, we shall know who really are ready for war with world powers. You will also know that Ikwerres, Ogonis, Urhobos, Itsekiris and others are not part of those sabotaging Nigeria. We want peace. Those who wish for war by bursting pipeline will suffer alone.
Yea, the divide and conquer tactics. Ijaws are now being separated from the rest of Niger deltans and are being presented as the villains who will benefit more if Niger delta struggle succeeds. It almost seem like Biafra 1.0 where the Igbos were singled out.

The Urhobos, Ikwerres, Ogonis, and the rest of NDeltans will be fools if they don't support the Ijaws in this struggle. You close ranks to fight off a common foe first, then you come back home to settle your little squabbles.

This is the lesson ND should have learnt from the Biafran war.

"All the militants are mostly Ijaws, so let's leave the fight for the Ijaws by betraying them and getting them replaced with us as the most favoured group from the region by the FG" . Such line of reasoning killed Biafra.

Exactly so why deny them their fun in the sun. Its their time. There is something that always baffles me about Nigerians concerning this matter. Leaders from other regions have collectively vandalised this economy, enriched themselves and usurped the Nigerian started. You guys say and do nothing. They are there again some having re-invented themselves and we are okay with that. It is the militants that is our problem. Do you know or do you care how much TY Danjuma alone strips from this country on a daily basis and has been doing virtually since the end of the civil war (his only credentials and rights to such). Start there first then your campaign will be more credible and persuasive to the peoples of the Niger-Delta. If the oil is for all, it is for all, if it is for some then you have no right to decide to whom it goes, period.

The illiterate will soon realize that Tompolo, Boyloaf, Asari and the rest dey learn wen boys carry red eye enter creek. Make e go ask Obasanjo and Yar'Adua how far.

One dynamite, One pipeline. Let's see how they will pay salaries in Nigeria. Oil price crash some Governors don dey complain say no money to pay salary, by the time dem don light up Apapa depot again Buhari go know say nor be to shout Change be governance.

Honestly some people mostly the South Westerners and the Northerners actually feel they can ride on like this forever. Truth of the matter is that if the militants were angry then, now they are furious because to them Jonathan was maligned and given a bad name then forced out of power. They have been wondering where the change agents werw wen Obasanjo and Atiku ran the nation aground. Most of them are just waiting for Buhari to begin his tenure then he will have to face them squarely and dem ready this time. Dem ready die!!!

Good enough the educated Niger Deltans are willing to join the struggle this time in whatever form and with the recent angling of self determination by the Lower Niger congress, i say this is a good omen for us. We will have our freedom maybe not tomorrow but soon and very very soon we know. Those that want to keep being slaves forever are free as the birds to continue but this useless contraption called Nigeria will disintegrate. Bring it on Buhari!

See as dem dey fear dey mention me up and down cheesy cheesy cheesy. Wetin una wan use our oil money do? Can't you guys survive without oil? I repeat ONE DYNAMITE, ONE PIPELINE. The days of free food is over. Na our oil money una dey wait make Buhari share give una 5k monthly abi? All Isreal to your tent, party is over. There is no one Nigeria anymore!!!

The fact and the reality associated with Nigeria as a Nation is that crude oil is 100% owned by Nigeria wherever it is found within Nigeria's officially controlled territory. Lawless individuals like you may not wish to accept this but that is the reality supported officially by the laws and constitution of sovereign Nigeria.

Change this status quo first and secede legally before you begin talking impotently as if the ND can formally dictate issues to Nigeria. The FG, soon to be led by Buhari, controls all the income of Nigeria - wherever such is derived from. When you cannot recognize and accept this fundamental legal reality then it is clear you cannot be taken seriously when issues related to the development of Nigeria are under discussion.

Dialogue is d answer o, militants ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian...
This is not 1967, there are many routes now through which one can access weapons from allies. Bombardment now can go both ways shud there b civil war. U are making Nigerian army during the war seem they were gallant soldiers while they lacked technicality and intelligence, only relied on continuous supply of arms from Britain while their opponent had no means of getting arms and ran shortage of arms.

Do not pray civil war starts again having high hopes u still have advantage u had in 1960s.

Most countries that supported Nigeria then have no interest in Nigeria now and some are even interested in its split.
