Sorry am neither APC nor PDP, am simply a Niger Delta Youth.

In recent time, the cause of the failure of Jonathan in 2015 election has been attributed or blaimed on the President's kins man Gov. Amaechi who doubles as the DG Buhari/Osibanjo Campaign Organisation. On the other hand Gov. Amaechi had warned that the president's assention to the top throne was a divine oportunity and arrangment by God to salvage the pple of the Niger Delta from poverty & neglect from previous leaders to the region that lays the golden egg. The president himself in a presidential campaign rally at the new Rivers State Stadium in Greater Port Harcourt zone at Igwuruta had agreed that he did nothing to his region but that he should be given a second oportunity. Unfortunately, the fight instigated by the president's wife, Wike & other gladiators consumed his second chance to pave way for #Change!

From this simple unbiased view, who then do you think betrayed the Delta most?

Amaechi or Jonathan?

Spent eight years in government in Bayelsa, was vice president for three years, and president for 5 years. Yet his home state was, is and remains a dump with little development to show for it. 5 years of his presidency, billions and billions poured into the NDDC and Ministry of Niger Delta, and people are still talking about things like East West Road that has been an issue for decades. Compare this with a man who despite his short comings, has given Rivers State the biggest expansion in quality public educational facilities the state has ever seen, as well as in hospitals, expanding on agriculture, and some infrastructural development. These are not made up, these are the hard facts. Only hopeless bigots whose lives are nothing but tribalism and bigotry and small mindedness do not see this.

This whole issue of bigotry needs to be checked because it is the only reason why someone like Wike can be considered a serious candidate to lead the state, all because some deluded people think they are "paying Amaechi back" by pushing a well known tout towards governance. Understand this, outside of Nigeria absolutely no one and I repeat no one, gives a crap about what village or "tribe" you are from in Nigeria. You are all seen as Nigerians in Africa, and black/African outside Africa. Tribalism only matters to you. The glory of your hamlet only matters to you. We should stop using it to scuttle meaningful development and progress in the country. Expand your horizons and stop being so friggin small minded. You want the world to take notice of that hamlet of yours then actually develop and make smart choices, try to join this century.

In Delta state, the federal presence under the Goodluck Jonathan's administration was immense. I see it almost everyday, including the ones still being worked on and yet to be commissioned. From the dredging and rehabilitation of the Warri port, to the NIMASA dockyard, a new federal university, a Maritime university, EPZ, federal roads etc. We've never had it this good from any previous administration. We probably would have had much more here if he had won his 2nd term bid. So, I personally don't see GEJ as someone who betrayed me or my people.

Ameachi isnt a betrayer, moreover why are people not talking abt timpre syla who is gej stateman and helped pull him down. Ameachi only stood 4 his right through the 16 greater than 19 which gej oversee, and the patience saga of wanting to use him. Gej infact drove ameachi frm himself. With or without ameachi buhari was bound to win regardles of the ss/se stand. Ameachi today is the only hope of the ss in the apc government just as rochas is to the se. If we hadnt these two men, the whole idea of placing all eggs in one basket would have reflected. Gej on the other hand failed naija delta not even stable electricty exist in otouke of all places. We have heard how he planned to shift an 11th hour project in lagos to bayelsa, that shows u what he had done with the niger delta in 6yrs

My Governor, Rotimi Amaechi did not betray anybody. Amaechi only stood against the injustice melted against him and the people of Rivers state by GEJ and his wife Patience, whom by far we all see as a brother and In-law. Jonathan refused to site any federal project in Rivers state because of his quarrel with one man, Amaechi. Not just Amaechi, we actually mobilised, campaigned and voted against him. Am a Rivers man. But Jonathan and his wife caused us so much pains. Jonathan betrayed our trust for him after all we did for him in 2011. Jonathan paid us with wickedness and hatred. If GEJ had won this election, by now we would have been driven out of our communities by the PDP and their supporters. Thank God Buhari won the election. In several occasions APC members were brutally attacked with police protection.

The same reason why they should stop calling us betrayal in d west,we voted for this man massively in 2011,instead of him to treat us fairly he turned his back on us and some fools still expect us to vote for him

I can bet it with everything I have that if you enter Niger-Delta(South-south) and ask them of what benefit has Jonathan's Presidency brought to them, over 90percent would be blank as nobody would be able to point to anything tangible Jonathan did...

Infact, during the presidential campaign in PH, Jonathan said it without mincing words that he knew his first term is a disaster to the people of Rivers State and Niger-delta at large, but, they should still vote for him because he's the son of the soil

This tells you that GEJ is not only a betrayer, but a failure at that
