Hello ladies and gentlemen, personally, i choose to read people's comments rather than commenting, i derived joy from it, though some are irritating, but all the same it's fun. Even as much as i felicitates with the shortlisted candidates over their victory of being employed into NIS. I must categorically say the process was not fair, transparent, and logical. The lucky shortlisted candidates, you guys may not know any person in NIS, and you were picked out of thousand. Oh, just praise your star! But let the truth be told, let's just be sincere to ourselves. There was no due process in that recruitment exercise, and am not saying this because i was not shortlisted for the appointment, off cause mine is coming, but out of what i saw.

You don't say this is the most transparent recruitment process that happened in Nigeria because you were picked. Honestly speaking, i know more than ten people, including two of my friends that went for the interview, but non of them was shortlisted for appointment. In fact, it was only on this platform that i got to know that some people were luckily picked based on merit, if not, i will forever say that the 2000 shortlisted candidates are all JOMBITOS.

Do you know that prior to the released list of shortlisted candidates, a lot of abnormalities happened with NIS site, our names were reshuffled, you can not view names base on state of origin, there was huge increment of names for interview as against the initial numbers that were invited for interview. This alone is enough reason why you should know that the process was tainted. So, guys mek una forget dat tin, na NAIJA we dey. They only picked few candidates based on merit just to cover up their mess, but God dey sha... God pass dem all!

bro u have said the truth, only few were selected on God's favor. there is nothing on merit here. where I knw that the whole thing is a mess was wen dragnet decided to shortlist about 700 candidates each per state for the fin stage. there is nothing credible here. among this 700 not more than 50 were picked from each state and about 650 candidates were left hrtbroken. had it been dragnet shortlisted reasonable number of ppl fr d interview no one would complain abt d final appointment list. the interview itself was a scam bcs they already have thier desired list to send to abuja. l knw five ppl dt got employed without even filling application form online. Nigeria is a very terrible country. all dsame happy training fr d successful ones.

Exceeding:
I counted the names under my state dELTA STATE and they weren't up to 30names on the list.
This is so unfair. We are clamouring for one Nigeria yet a mere recruitment process can't be conducted fairly.
I should have being told that the recruiting was more more the northerners. It's so glaring on the list.
I dedicated my time and money just to count the list .

My sister pls take your mind off federal jobs if you don't have a sure connect, it's as terrible as that. May God help us in this hell of a country. Apllied for compass 08. (Bsc political science, university of ibadan) met all the requirements, blast the interview questions, all my credentials were intact, was totally broke down when the doctored appointment list came out. The rot in this country will take many years to correct.

I agree with with you, infact no one would want to own up to the fact that they use leg to get the appointment, they would all be saying"I don't know a soul in NIS" infact, they would go to church to do testimony, that they don't know anyone, and you know deep down how you got your appointment. How can you explain how only about 50 was picked from about 700 candidates, how qualified could the people selected could have been? Dem get Doctorate degree ni? Merit my foot. That's the system we found ourselves. Congrats to you if you found your name on the list and if you don't move on,better opportunities ahead.

The mere fact that you guys didn't get it doesn't mean there aren't people that did on merit...one of u is claiming that no one got it on merit, sorry for you...that means all those that claimed to have gotten it on merit are liars? Haba, you even said they will go to church and claim they got it on merit when they didn't, has your level of reasoning and morality gone this bad and low? Some years back I applied for NDLEA and FRSC...unfortunately for me, their exams were written on the same day...that was when I actually vowed never to apply for a federal job if I didn't have a contact...During the FRSC training, my ears were filled with how so many people claimed they knew one person or the other, there I was with no one...I felt like a foolish person. These irregularities will never change(fact, deal with it) even when a new administration enters...can Buhari's eyes be everywhere at once?? Buhari can not wipe out corruption if he can't start from the people that backed his entering like the Tinubu's and IBBs and Atiku's...just move on and seek contacts, I sought and I found, u can as well if u really want to get there...

NB: God factor not ruled out but we all know those chances are slim.

my dear I tire for this country. the truth is that some ppl have no one but still make the final list. this is bcs God's favor is with them, plus the so called presidential committee deliberately randomly select few ppl to add to their already selected candidates. to my surprised even dragnet are clueless by selecting more than 700 for the final stage so that there will be too much room for connections. weda u like it or not it is so painful to see that you are competent for the job and have possesd all the requirements but at the end if name isn't on d list. to me ppl shld stop calling GEJ currupt, as evry Nigerian with office power is currupt. we are happy for those employed but that will not stop us frm questioning the credibility of this exercise.

I believe when we get to our respective training school they will tell us when the training will start...Becos I am also confused, if what we are going to kano, imo, and rivers to do is just to collect appointment letter and documentation, why can't they do it in our respective states of origin just the way d interview was conducted..then when its time for training we would report at the various training schools...my advice to every one is go prepared incase the training will kick start immediately after documentation

Sorry to say this, but most of u have the delusion of grandeur and u are very bad losers, how can u just sit in the comfort of ur home cushion and type trash, to insult the sensibilities of everyone who got appointed purely on merit. this was a vacancy I was so reluctant to apply for, a colleague actually cajoled me to apply, that colleague and all my oda colleagues were not even shortlisted for the test. it was clearly stated in their website that your interview performance was not the only determinant if not the least. they used your test scores and also considered all certificates presented, putting federal character into consideration. how sure are you that you are among the best 50 in ur state? or even the best 3 in ur local govt? U've got the best height and were able to convince ursef u did well. I have met so many people who got the job, they are all stars in their field too. learn to rejoice with others and strive for your chance. I have gone through 11 recruitment processes (fed& multinationals) this is the 2nd successful one and I must say most transparent. U have a first class so what? over-confidence kills and stagnates, it would keep u bitter in one position in life. Gods grace qualifies and grace has no marking scheme.
exactly!!!

bros you have said it all but that should not stop ppl from questioning this recruitment, ppl like u are the ones who won't initiate real change in Nigeria. bcs u got it or ur frn is successful doesn't mean that others shld keep quiet and move on. that is the reason why this country will continue to stay in bondage. for ur info I am working with a bank now and I earn more than what compass 8 will earn in a month bt bcs of security that's y I applied for the job and had it been I dnt hav the requirements I wouldn't have started. my main concern were with my frnds whom I know that deserve it bit bcs of naija factor they weren't successful. and we have to lay it out that the NIS are busy collecting money from several individual and given them appointment that is meant for those who suffer through the normal procedures. those that have gotten on merit or God's favour should give thanks to God. if you must know last two years I reached to the most final stage of the Nigerian navy recruitment only for our names to be called out during the parade that they have trim down some names to make room for other changes. this is how currupt this nation can be. therefore do not just come here and say what you want to say jst bcs u r one of those who are successful.

Also later got a contact, 250k for compass 03, I am not as hopeless as that and I can't settle for less, is that suppose to be happenning in this country? That's the question...take it or leave it, less than 40peeps from each state can never be on merit. Some peeps will come here linking God almighty to what they've personally influenced with money or through a top heirachy to get NIS job placement. Let's stop deceiving ourselves, our God is not a wicked God. Wish everyone the best, life goes on.

If you interviewed the first day (5th) Your chance of getting Apl was higher cos your CBT Result was higher.
That didn't mean all that interviewed the first day were selected, A lot had to be considered before the final selection.

I know how you feel bro or sis, I am not saying this recruitment process was without skirmishes, I only said it was the most transparent I have ever witnessed. I wrote the Agip graduate trainee test last year and I am quite confident I did well, till this moment I am yet to get a regret mail. I wrote Ecobank's test and did their interview, no one has contacted me yet, that was 12months ago. WAEC, NYSC etc. do trust me, I know what it feels like. I am not saying don't make a case for yourself, but don't assume, every other person got it through a dubious means.

You can get it if u really want...(that's part of the lyrics of a song)...but you must try, try, try and try....This is an example of someone that got it on merit. A Yoruba adage says " the person who hasn't seen another person's dads farmland will claim that his dad's is the largest... This is life, you win some, you lose some...put yourself together and try again, every one can't be chosen. I know many people who applied last year but were not shortlisted... Don't they deserve the chance to compete? Given that they spent money and went through stress? Stress of being stampeded? They stadium where I wrote mine, were it not for God, I strongly believe at least one lady would have died...many people fell on her and she fainted...first aid treatment had to be given to her. I doubt if she was shortlisted... I even doubt if she actually applied again. While trying to make sure there wasn't I stampede, I almost lost my own life too. Everyone was rushing in, no one cared if anyone was on the ground...enough said

God help us!

It is quite alarming that some people think in a shabby way, u harbour the thought that people that got shortlisted bribed their way through it; WHAT IF U R WRONG?. I bet some of u expected the whole 700k people 2 be given appointment (what a poor sense of reasoning). B4 u registered u should have known that some will definitely fall short 4 one reason or the other. NOTHING IS FAIR IN LIFE, EVEN LIFE ITSELF IS NOT FAIR, u can't always have it ur way; u win some and u loss some. I wish those shorlisted luck and those not shortlisted luck as well as they will always get opportunities 4 other things. Stop the whining and prepare 4 better days ahead.

NB: only sensible responses pls, I'm tired of some people's bullshit.

Well, it's not all that easy to get rid off, it's a natural phenomenon that requires much time to fade. I believed you all that made it to the final were selected based on merit. Infact, you guys are more qualified than us, nobody is disputing that. But the fact still remain the same, the exercise was not fair. To all the conpass, abeg when you reach your various centers, help me tell the ogas @d top there that am still here waiting for more list so as to go n collect my APL.

Then the next MAGOGO came: WE WROTE the CBT NO EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE to show for our TEST SCORE..The WHOLE NIS recruitment process is a SCAM, how will someone write a TEST and you won't show or TEXT that person his/her SCORE? Assuming i had the POWER i would have called for my SCRIPT or text score and compare it to those who made the interview stage for LAGOS STATE or any other state. (FOOLISH DRAGNET) TEXT WEY i DO WEY i KNOW SAY I MURDER. Is it the ENGLISH part, or the LOGICAL REASONING, the simple Mathematics or current affairs that i aced in less than a minute....If me and any of the successful candidates happen to re-write this same TEXT in an OPEN FIELD am sure only a few will be equal to me...(No be mouth tho cus ENU ose DURELLA)....That is why i would have really love to call for my "script" via the computer base test. To the successful ones it's by LUCK or let me say GOD's grace that you where chosen not because you merited it, or you where better than those who didn't make it to the final stage or the CBT stage because in all the recruitment process there is NO EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE to assert that those who made the final list really MERITED it. It was just luck on your side.
mtcheeew, there is no empirical evidence to show that all u wrote down is true, there is also no empirical evidence to show that those who were appointed didnt merit it.u are just being emotional
