It's even a sad and pathetic shame that after 8 years in office and the largest state budgets in Nigeria, this is all you have to show.? Are you for real or just joking?

I repeat, the only non road projects he completed are 1 cinema and 1 redundant and white elephant football field.

Instead of the rubbish you just posted, why don't you prove me wrong? How hard is that to do?

I just gave you a list that disproves your false claim and you scratched it out so that you could repeat your dishonest mantra.

STFU you village troll.. ^^^^ That's your shame and sadness up there...

No surprise that worthless and incompetent people with only 2 projects to show for 8 years in office and largest budgets in Nigeria are your role models.

Even Fashola trumped your Aso rock crooked, incompetent dullard with his 16 years of PDP rule and federal oil budget... How fuckkkeedd up can you clwons be grin

Fashola built many hospitals within 8 years and he still did not do half of what the clown that did not built any did? Daft and mentally screwed villager..

Oponu loser, is this like Governor's forum 16 greater than 19 stupidity like your master's did?

The clueless Tinubu servant called fashola is nothing but an overrated south west local champion. With all the money generated by Lagos in IGR and massive debt profile added to FG allocations, there is nothing on ground to show where these monies have been channeled to. Of course, these monies have been lined in Tinubu's pockets by Fashola. Comparing an achiever like Akpabio who even successfully installed his successor to a dullard like Fashola who couldnt do so because of his master Tinubu shows you are a morooon. Go and face the governance in your wilderness state of osun where workers have not been paid for 10 months

It's not a 'common hospital' that is your first failure, you do not even understand what has been built.

This is a specialist hospital to stop the flow of money from Nigeria to places like India for medical procedures that are life saving.

Na how many people your fake oga @ the top don kill with lafta over his aloku metal scrap Toronto trains on which he spent $1 billion World Bank loan since 2011 and are yet to be seen in Lagos

Bloody HYPOCRITE!!!

Fashola visited Toronto earlier this year to inspect the TTC trains.

The Lagos deal would be the first of its kind for the TTC. Decommissioned cars are usually sold for scrap metal and can fetch up to $1,500 dollar each. While Ross declined to discuss specific figures, he says the sticker price for Lagos is "significantly more" than scrap prices, putting the potential profits to the TTC in the millions of dollars. shocked

It is not unusual for technology from western nations to end up in poorer countries. Marketplaces in Africa and Asia are flooded with North American clothes, computers, and even cars, but the purchase of larger technology like trains is rarer.

The cars will have to be significantly refurbished to fit existing infrastructure in Lagos, and some Nigerian media reports have lamented that the government appears to have settled on "tokundo," or used, trains instead of brand new vehicles.

Although half the cars are more than 30 years old, Ross is adamant they are perfectly safe and are only being decommissioned for capacity reasons. But he also admitted the TTC is not required to make sure the cars meet any safety standards before selling them.

"Once sold, it's up to the new operator to ensure they are in good working order," he said. "They do need to be maintained much more frequently than the new trains, simply because of their age. At some point they will run out their useful life."

Murtaza Haider, director of the Institute of Housing and Mobility at Ryerson University, said the age of the cars is definitely a cause for concern.

"We should be ensuring that there is some service life left in these vehicles and we're not going to be playing havoc with the lives of those who would ride these vehicles," Haider said. "There's metal fatigue, and that metal fatigue could result in dangerous conditions. I would be paying a close watch on this for the next ten years to see how many accidents do happen in Lagos."

* In January 2013, i.e. some two years after the Toronto visit, our excellent governor said the trains will be ready by June, i.e. five months after the unsolicited statement, based on his inspection & assessment of work done so far at the time =>

Lagos light rail’ll be ready in June – Fashola
JANUARY 9, 2013

The Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola on Tuesday said the first phase of the state Blue Light Rail project would be completed by June this year(2013).

He expressed confidence that Lagosians would start enjoying the services of the lrail project immediately.

The first phase would run from Marina and terminated at Okokomaiko area in Ojo Local Government.

Fashola spoke during an inspection of ongoing projects in the state which took him and his cabinet members to Orile-Iganmu, Alimosho and Ejigbo areas among others to assess the level of works being done by contractors.

The governor, who inaugurated the trackwork of the blue light rail at Alaba Suru, Coker-Agunda Local Council Development Area, said the level of work on the road and those of the National Theatre and Alaba-Mile 2 rail stations, would ensure early completion

He said, “In order to finish the project, the contractor did not go on vacation during the festive period. This will ensure that the project is delivered on time for the use of Lagosians.

More from: http://www.punchng.com/news/lagos-light-railll-be-ready-in-june-fashola/

* Last year, our fine-boy-no-pimples Misita Gomina confessed he had already spent a whopping sum of N160 billion on the light rail that was supposed to be in use since June 2013. Depending on the exchange rate he used that could be $1 billion to $1.2 billion spent shocked

How We Spent N160bn World Bank Loan on Light Rail Project
11 Sep 2014
.
.
.
.
He, therefore, explained that the state government already “has in place, strategies to repay the loan. The federal government was in the know of the state’s decision to take the bond and it approved it.”

He added that the truth “is that what they do not also say is that no state in Nigeria can borrow money outside, from any multilateral agencies without the approval of the federal government.

“What they did not say is that they approved it. No state can raise money by bond the way we have done without the federal government’s approval. Both SEC and NSE are all federal regulatory agencies through which we must pass. If they said okay, it means there must be something good about the debt.

Good question this quatenery hospital that is one of the center that will help train and sharpen the skills of medical professionals in the state and country. The standard of this hospital is higher than that of a teaching hospitals and most doctors in Nigeria do not know how to operate in hospital environment like this one, thats why the 150 doctors that will practice here are expatriates and nigerian doctor's who trained or practice abroad. But in the years to come this knowledge will be transferred to our local doctors.
Akpabio has built a brand new states university which started in 2010 and graduated its first student a few weeks ago and in addition he sent 50 PhD student of akwa origin abroad for training of which 24 are already back in the state university helping make the university manpower the best of any university of the same age in the country.
The university will help in the manpower development of the state just like the other projects. E.g. the MRO in akwaibomstate airport has sent over 100 indegines for aviation specific training abroad, and Akpabio also was the one that paid for the over 150 students that the past governor sent abroad for training in the twilight o his administration. Manpower development is a process not a destination, and this administration has done its bit to help move the wheel of that process in the state.

Didn't you notice how he took a village state and transformed it into an enviable state with modern structures and the BEST road network in Nigeria, built by Julius Berger. Akwaibom is the only state with roads that have covered drainage just like you have in USA and UK.

You are an Idi0t, a Big fool and I really hate liars and propaganda spreaders like you in nairaland.

Lie Mohammed pikin.....

Think of the lives that would have been saved if the governor took this as a priority and executed this project under two yrs which was the time frame for the construction. the people had to wait 8yrs for a project that was suppose to take 2yrs max.

Tropicana after tens of billions down the drain = Uncompleted

Security = Murder and kidnap capital of Nigeria

Football field = Total waste, obsolete and redundant. Not used since commissioning.

Hotel = Only irresponsible governments spends taxpayers money on hotels and golf courses

Still after 8 years in office and the largest yearly budget in Nigeria, not 1 single completed hospital...

Not 1 single classroom

Not 1 single skills centers

Not 1 single water works

Not 1 single credible health center..
