Have we not been complaining about the cost of governance?

Have we not been complaining about too much bureaucracy in govt?

ICPC and EFCC what are their functions that they can't be merged?

Ministries having Ministers and Ministers of State, what for? Oh so because people will lose employment, govt should continue with Recurrent expenditure taking large chunk of Budget?

What happens to re-investing these extra-funds in Power which will in a long run increase private jobs? What happens to investing such in manufacturing and sciences to increase indigenous production and then employment.

Information Technology and Ageiculture should be given special status in Nigeria

I expect to see a Bank of Technology dedicated to funding and helping technology startups develop in Nigeria, just like we have the Bank of Agriculture which does same for the Agric development in Nigeria

Many other organizations and agencies should be merged and trimmed also, so that government can use all those money and fund startup businesses and development

It must however be noted that merging agencies and departments comes with attendant job loss which "may"/will be resisted by labour and the redundant civil servants as well as inhouse politicians.

Well, we are watching whether #BabaOneChance have the political will to even send such executive bill to the parliament and whether the NASS members will be able to amend the various acts.

He does not need to make people redundant , the main individuals that would suffer are the higher up.management which would be synergized.

Secondly any serious government knows that the public service can not be made to become the primary employer Od labour it doesn't make any logical sense economically or socially.

What the government need to do and am sure plan to do is encourage capital investment ,diversification of industry and promote private sector white collar employment through industrial improvement.

Nigeria unlike all our neighbours is geographically ,socially blessed and everything in between , we can become the logistic hub for the whole of west and central Africa if we sort our transport system out , our government is now considered stable(security wise) , hopefully Buhari/Osinbajo government can stabilise the economy.

When you merge, offices are reduced and some people will lose there job.
When you merge, services and customer satisfaction will reduce .
