Unfortunately, we SS are not allowed to control all the oil resource (except the 13% that we get....I am from an oil producer state BTW)...so, legally much of the oil is not ours.

And I am realistic to know that total resource control might not work....because everyone and his mother are dependent on oil. (That's why many of the resource control advocates are also regional advocates.....so that non oil producing southern states can get oil money too....heheh!).

Plus...resource control means what? That the host communites or the host state controls the oil? (Question for the gods!).

But i digress.

Most states in Nigeria are not viable. And by viable....most of our states...including the oil producers....are not innovative economies that are free of oil. Like Kaduna....Kaduna produces maize...which can be used for a variety of industrial products. Benue produces oranges...which could be used for food and pharma and even chemical industries. But you don't see these states doing anything about their local resources. Likewise , many of these oil producers too should develop economies free of oil dependency...because the way I see things.....soon we will be earning less and less from oil...because countries like America are on their way to energy independence. And green energy is developing in leaps and bounds.In twenty years...the developed world would not be as reliant on oil as it used to be. And where does that leave oil producers? Empty.

Most All states in Nigeria are not viable. Which is why I want you Nigerians to force your governors to make them viable. The age of oil is at an end. Time we industrialized. Oil is not going to rise above $100 per barrel soon.

Why keep funding a business year in and year out without getting anything in return....we should look to practicing federalism as it should...its called 'Federal Republic of Nigeria'

Some Agencies were established by Act of the parliament, and as such it will require parliamentary action to repeal or amend any relevant sections to achieve merger. It must however be noted that merging agencies and departments comes with attendant job loss which "may"/will be resisted by labour and the redundant civil servants as well as inhouse politicians.

Well, we are watching whether #BabaOneChance have the political will to even send such executive bill to the parliament and whether the NASS members will be able to amend the various acts.

What happens to re-investing these extra-funds in Power which will in a long run increase private jobs? What happens to investing such in manufacturing and sciences to increase indigenous production and then employment.

That is what we should be doing. I did not say that we should dash our oil to the North....or that the status quo is OK.....I mean that every Nigerian....North or South ...should get off oil.

This is not a North-South thing for me. It is about a third way....the way of industrial and innovative growth founded on science and education.

That is the only way we can guarantee true federalism.

The YouWin has no repayment plan, it's a grant, not a loan. I questioned that right from the year it started, but nobody listened. Only serious people should be given access to loans for business, if you're not confident enough to repay a loan, don't take it. I mentioned the social security because it should replace the collaterals being asked by banks, or at least government agencies who fund businesses and request for collateral which many serious Nigerians don't have.
I know people who have borrowed loans and succeeded even with interest, these are the real entrepreneurs, not those looking for free money. Most of those Youwin businesses were not drafted with realistic projections, since it's free money, its all a matter of brain work to draft a business plan that looks attractive on paper, many of the contestants even inflate figures just to appear sweet, No. If you want to start a real business, come and apply, Youwin should be resident in each state, so they can use inherent environmental realities and advise you whether your business is real or not, but in any case, the funds should be available with some form of identity system as a security, that's the only time you can make impact

Yes, the subsidy has to go. Labour will surely understand once the facts are laid bare to them. The subsidy has proved to benefit a few.

However, PMB must tell us his plans to make our refineries work again. I will expect that within 18 to 24 months, we will refine our crude in Nigeria and by that time pump price should be revised to reflect it.

My point is....states should stop relying on sales of raw materials...and instead use their raw materials and people as the basis of mini-inudstry based economies.

Even the oil producers...because oil prices are dropping...and because the West is abandoning our oil....and because cars are now becoming electric and solar.

Nigeria must industrialize. It is our only hope. Nigeria must get off oil.Oil is a curse.

As long as you dash people money without a repayment plan, they'll squander it. Why is it that money is available in the US but people don't take it and run away?

Answer: Because there is a credit system. Everyone has a social security number, and once you're given a loan, your credit score starts counting, if you default, it keeps dropping till you can't do anything tangible again, and you can be charged and imprisoned or become a slave of the system due to bankruptcy. So that Youwin money should've been a loan repayable yearly over a 20-year period. There are some businesses succeeding though, you just have to ensure that all these checks and balances are in place. We have an idle National Identity Management Company that can ensure that everyone in Nigeria is identifiable by a unique social security number which should be required by every organization like banks, schools etc, so that anywhere you go, if you have a bad debt or crime, it pops up.
