There are better ways to seek secession, why do they allow themselves suffer ridicule and dehumanizing prisons when they know the position of the law?

Re: FG Seeks Secret Trial For Biafran Activists by Nobody: 8:15am On May 20, 2015
They should be allowed... If they so desire to have Biafra, as human we hv lot of issues to attend to. Atleast if the go, we can handle our issues objectively. We seize to be a country where some people think criminals are being prosecuted because they are from a particular region and not cos of their criminal act.

Nigeria still have a long way to go for the aspirations and wishes of the average
Nigerian to be actualized. Just imagine our justice system still backward as it was
in the beginning. I know its easy to blame the government for all of our woes but
the truth is, we all are responsible for it. Take it or leave it.

Remarkable:

they should be tried and dealt the strong arm of justice. The moment you resort to any form of violence, you lose my support, I do not subscribe to that at all, I deem it to be the last resort after genuine efforts have been made... even Ojukwu that went ahead to declare Biafra an independent nation (under God? lol) still is being chastised by many for not seeking further peaceful options; but I feel he did enough, esp the Aburi meeting which Gown reniged upon..

I must also add these guys are not the type of people we need a thousand miles near the corridors of power in Biafra... you seize the broadcasting station, make a broadcast.. and then what? That means Biafra is now in existence and independent? Lack of following your thoughts to a conclusive end and even options per each possible outcome is what a smart person should do... I am glad they failed and are being prosecuted.

I have no doubt that at the appropriate time, as far as the sun rises from the east... Biafra will rise. Maka Chukwu.

If you're not ready to die for it, put the word 'freedom' out of your vocabulary.
Malcolm X

No oppressor will ever give you freedom without violence I bet you don't know that.

Nobody gave Boko Haram or Mend closed door trial and nobody will give Biafra Men closed door trial.

All we need is the immediate release ofd the Biafra Men. Be it from Chime or GEJ.

This report is mischievous!
The suspects are being tried for allegedly conspiring to commit arson against a media station.
They are not being tried for being secessionists.

Seeking for a referendum is not a crime!
Lower Niger is not treason.

Re: FG Seeks Secret Trial For Biafran Activists by fr3do(m): 8:43am On May 20, 2015
But how come the topic says that the men are to be sentenced when they have not been tried?

I reiterate that the charge against these men is conspiring to commit arson.

If I'm pro one Nigeria or pro Ecowas and in my campaign, I burn someone's property, the law will be against me.

Mynd44:
Since June 2014?

Can't a deal be arrived at? They plead guilty and get time already served, warnings, a repeated offense means a longer jail term and send these men home.

This is just pointless as we are just trying to make an example but it is just being unfair. What they did was not right but seriously they have been for almost a year now.

What exactly did they do wrong?
I hope that you're aware that United nations General Assembly in 1960 recognises right to self-determination .

Why is the Nigerian state forcing everyone to stay under one roof even as the union is not a comfortable one?

When a people genuinely agitate for their rights and you clamp them down ,it will only lead to armed struggle and any internal insurrection lasts years if not centuries.

Let the people choose through a referendum and let peace reign.

The arsonists will stop but Lower Niger/Biafra can be campaigned for as much as one Nigeria can.

Nigeria signed a treaty with the UN to allow self determination of indigenous people.

Err...the attacked and attempted to take over a radio station...but that has happened and passed, I am sure a deal can and should be reached.

Boko Haram members in Government custody are usually well keppt and dressed. These are people responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of Nigerians. Mend got an amnesty for kidnap and killings in the NIgerDelta.

Biafra Zionist members staged a protest and disturbed the peace, they are publicly put on display Unclad. This disrespect against the igbos is reaching the point of implosion. I dont know how much more Ndiigbo can take before they either implode or explode in anger.

Compared to Boko Haram and Mend, wat exactly have the members of Biafra Zionist movement done to warrant a closed trial or even imprisonment? We thereby demand their immediate release and all baseless charges dropped.

Ndiigbo Add your voices.
