Am less surprise for the call to reduce cut off Marks. Clearly we know where that man comes from. Already Federal Govt sponsored first class graduates are stalled just because one section of the country has no qualified graduates. Meanwhile the issue is quality/ merits not national character that has been a clog in wheel of the country's progress

I begin to wonder if Jamb and ICAN have the same questions bcoz their questions no be here, na only GOD fit help person answer those questions.

Ok....quality of education and reduction in cut-off marks.

I want to settle their schism with the following points:

1. Jamb needs to increase the cut-off marks as quality of education improves.
2. Jamb needs to set a passable mark for average students to scale through.
3. Examination questions should be set based on student's exposure.

If Atiku is talking about improvement of standards rather than reduction of marks which I completely agree with, then 2 things are involved: 1) He should walk d talk by ensuring, with his influence and capacity as a 'statesman', that the blueprint for said improvement is made n carried out and
2)The improvement should be seen to be done by increasing cut off marks for admission into unity schools for all States so that they are equal. Not where the Anambra child has to score 139 and the Zamfara or Yobe child needs a score less than 10!
Aferall it is one Nigeria and we should be one in all things!

Atiku has said it all..reducing the cut-off mark cnt help in any way. The standard is what they should improved. But to b frank, not that Nigerian's education is not up to standard, what's killing it is lack of incentive. Imagine a graduate who has been job-huntin for almost 3yrs, what wi motivate others to goto school?
That's why majority of the students just want to hav the certificate and care less about the standard.
