We need an empirical evidence of Anambra having the highest doctoral degree holder. There was nothing of such on NUC website.

Ibos and their eternal lying mechanism deflated again. They think Doctoral Degrees are acquired inside 2by2inches shops. Jokers.

That was how they told us Ojukwu's father had a Rolls Royce that Queen of England rode in, on her visit to Nigeria. Alas, it was demystified.

That was how they told us Nigeria took over their companies through indigenisation policy. Another demystified lies of the y ibos.

In their lives they love lying and taking tales by moonlight as their facts and figures.

They are too academically and mentally lazy to do research and present scientific, undeniable and verifiable facts and figures.

If they have their way, they will even tell us their fathers joysticks are the biggest in the world. Bunch of iinferior set of people, always looking for things that will boost the complex,

How can you name a bank like stanbic and standard chartered banks as headed by yoruba CEO. Just wait a minute did I see an acquired bank that is now owned by another bank.
The truth is that igbos control the systemic banks like zenith, uba, access, diamond.
The systemic bank control for more than 90 of the deposit and are responsible for most of the banking revenue.

How qualitative are these doctorate degrees? UNIZIK in the last five years seems to be dishing out PhD to lecturers in south eastern universities all in a bid to meet up with NUC accreditation requirements. Just last year alone, a dept in Ebonyi State University graduated six PhD degree holders. Sadly, the six docs are lecturers in the dept, the dept has only one prof and this single prof is the co-ordinator of the PhD programme in the dept and he also supervises the thesis of all the six new docs who are also his colleagues. After the graduation of the new docs, NUC gave the dept a temporary accreditation status to admit undergraduates.

Our PhD holders should be scholars indeed, the number of doctorate degree holders is of no importance. We cant compare the PhD programme in Ife, Ibadan, Unilag, Zaria and the cash and carry programme in EBSU, IMSU, UNZIK etc.

I can bet my last kobo, that 85% of the new doctorate degrees holders of Igbo extration, obtained their PhD's from unizik, Ebsu, Imsu. This is a fact.

first bank, union, uba, zenith fidelity, gtb, ecobank and diamond.

5 are Igbos. Does it not call for worry?

Joker. In your opinion Union bank and Fidelity Banks major banks and FCMB and Skye Bank are not?

Compare the results of those 4banks and you will realise which one is major and which one is minor.

Skye, sterling, fcmb, fidelity are not among the systemic banks. Eco bank status is not verifiable.
And first Bank is shared by the north and south west and it is not a very competitive bank.

new2020:
Get out from here! Yorubas are no match to the Igbos. Don't be fooled that Yorubas got ahead of the Igbos after the civil war because the Igbos were damaged by the war and at disadvantage.....that was the only reason Yorubas got ahead; coupled with the free education by Awolowo. However they have reclaimed that seat since 2000 and have done so with huge margin as it were prior to the war.
WRONG ASSERTIONS THAT NEED TO BE CORRECTED:

It is self-deceiving telling yourselves as Igbos that you are a match to Yorubas in terms of business, education and regional economy.

I won't dispute the fact that Igbos are perceived as business oriented people but it's just a wrong assertion going by real fact on ground. The question is what brought about this assertion? Igbos travelled to other regions of the country to establish their business while Yorubas mainly travelled abroad for studies and businesses. This ability of Igbos to travel to other regions within Nigeria state was what bring about their presence in the North and the West. Hausa/Fulanis are not equally left out when it comes to bussiness; these guys owned all the Sabo Markets in the South, West and East. What Igbos and few others failed to understand is that millions of bonafide citizens of these regions are into different businesses before Igbo even imagine to come to their regions.

Pls, Let's take Lagos and Ibadan as case study here, Igbos often believed that their numbers in Lagos markets is smting to write home about simply cos of their numbers in Alaba, Ladipo and Idumota forgetting that Yorubas are the ones holding down all the numerous markets all over Lagos states. After all, Alaba,,Idumota and Ladipo is not even up to 40% of all the markets in Lagos states.

Permit me to deviate from Lagos Markets to Europe/American Markets just a little bit so as to give you a true picture of what is going on, i am still wondering why Igbo keep deceiving themselves by calling themselves business oriented people when they couldn't even extend their business prowess/skills to Europe/North America countries. 80% of Nigerians' businesses(From Chartered Accountants firms, Law firms, Restaurants to Grocery stores) in these following countries - Canada, US, UK and of course Ireland are owned by Yorubas.

Let's go to Ibadan-Oluyole, Ibadan has about 3 largest markets - Gbagi, Bodija, Oja Oba/Orita Merin Markets in the whole country(Google it) just like the 4 biggest markets in the East - Ariaria market, Aba, Onitsha, Ogbete. However, these three markets in Ibadan are purely dominated by Yorubas just like the 4 markets in the East. Having 96% domination in those three biggest markets in Ibadan and the rest of markets in Lagos(except those three aforementioned markets: Alaba, Ladipo and Idumota-share by Igbo and Yorubas) with those ones in the rest of Yoruba states, then how dare you compare our BUSINESS ACUMEN to Igbos. It's an insult to us as bigger Nation.

Let's talk about Industrialists in the country today, Yorubas and Hausas/Fulanis have completely dominated that sector of our economy; no doubt about it. These two people are sitting on top while Igbo are struggling to climb the ladder. However, I am not expecting you to accept this as fact but I want you to look around you and see who and who control industries in Nigeria(not this false assertion among Igbos just to make themselves happy).

Education- Education is a must in every Yoruba homes and Igbos have seen what Yorubas have been able to achieve with this over the years which informed their attitude of shunning out statistics out in recent time so as to disapprove d fact that Yorubas are more educated than Igbos. Have you asked yourself why Universities in the East have never been rated as one of the top best universities in the whole continent? There lies your answer bro. Quality education could only be obtained in the West Universities which informed the reason why they have remained the only unversities being rated among the best in Africa and few others from North and Mid West - Uniben and of course ABU. The quest of Yorubas for quality education is the reason why Yorubas are 20% of graduating students in Europe and America universities. If doubt me, attend any graduation convocation in all these countries I have mentioned and ask any of the students for their program brochures which has the names of graduating students for that academic year. Trust me, you ll be blown away by the numbers of Yoruba names on the list which rarely have 1 to 2 Igbo names.

Igbos travel, I laughed whenever I read/heard this wrong assertion being made by Igbos among themselves. I guess the ones making this assertion are ones that have never left the shore of Nigeria cos if you do, you ll definitely know how Yorubas have dominated North America and Europe over the years. US, Canada, Ireland and UK are completely dominated by Yorubas. Yorubas population in these aforementioned countries are running to millions. If you doubt me, go on the streets and Airports of these Europe and North America countries to see things for yourself. Igbos business guys only travel to China, Malaysia while Yorubas go to Dubai and China (few). However, there are numbers of Igbos in America but not up to 40% of Yorubas there.

Oil and Gas industry is a place you need to look into so as to know that it ll be a long journey for Igbos to catch up with Yorubas. Igbos could push all their Oafs, Drongo and Lummox(s) through their educational system in the East so as to match up with Yorubas in numbers but they can't bribe Shell, Chevron and of course Total to employ more Igbos to match up with Yorubas numbers in this industry.

Banking Industry is equally a pointer to who is dominating who.

The killer is Federal Ministries- it's like second home of Yorubas.

Peace out.

Re: Anambra, Imo Enugu Now Lead In Doctorate Degree Holders In Nigeria - NUC by Nobody: 11:42am On May 21, 2015
illiad:
Lateef Raji, a public policy analyst, in
an article titled “Dwindling Oil
Revenue: What Next for Nigeria?”
posited that today, despite the pitiful
state of unemployment in Nigeria,
ironically, the nation is still rated as the
third destination of investors and one
of the fastest-growing economy in the
world. Raji noted that Nigeria is a
golden land of numerous opportunities
for those who are resourceful,
ingenious, creative, innovative,
inventive, groundbreaking,
enterprising, hardworking, focused,
visionary and, most significantly,
disciplined.
Consequently, as a concerned Nigerian,
I want to question the role(s) of Yoruba
youths in the current fight against
unemployment, starvation and poverty
in Nigeria. This question was
necessitated by my discovery through
indirect observations that Yoruba
youths are the most lazy, perfidious
and egoistic youths in Nigeria as at
today.
I discovered that the pride of an
average Yoruba youth has
overshadowed his intellectual
judiciousness, level-headedness and
sagacity. Today, among ten Nigerians
submitting their resumes to
multinational corporations eight would
be Yorubas. Folks from my generation
in the Western Nigeria are too lazy to
tap from the abundant opportunities
that litter the streets of, say, Lagos, for
primitive accumulation of wealth.
The Igbos, and, by extension, the Niger-
Deltans and the Northerners have
indirectly taken over the control of
economy of Lagos, Nigeria’s
indisputable number one centre of
success, excellence and opportunities.
The Apapa wharf in Lagos has virtually
been taken over by the Easterners. The
data that I got from the Nigerian
custom services divulges that 63% of
those licensed to transact businesses in
Apapa Wharf are Igbos.
More so, data collected from licensing
office reveals that owners of 56% of
commercial motorcycles in Lagos are
Northerners and Easterners. The
lucrative transport business has been
hijacked from the Yorubas.
Today, the major work of average
Yoruba youths on the streets of Lagos is
to collect royalty, due and charges from
the Hausas and Igbos, using their
motorcycles to make cool cash from
their land. Ninety-five percent of
transport, travel and tour firms
operating in Lagos are owned by the
enterprising and hardworking
Easterners.
The Yorubas stay at various
intersections harassing hardworking
people transacting their legal
businesses in the name of collecting
charges and dues for the local
government. I also discovered that
majority of the few Yorubas riding
commercial motorcycles in Lagos are
locally-trained automobile engineers
that have abandoned their workshops.
Furthermore, the popular Ladipo and
Owode motor spare parts markets in
Lagos are now solidly in the hands of
Igbos. As usual, the Yoruba youths are
in the market collecting dues for their
local government chairmen and the
Iyaloja General of Lagos. Yaba, Oyigbo,
Sabo, Oshodi, Agege, Alaba, Idumota,
etc. markets have been taken over by
the Easterners and Northerners who
are predominantly youths.
Let me also assert unequivocally that
the Igbo youths are now becoming
more prosperous in the entertainment
industry than the Yoruba youths.
Today, the Yorubas hardly tune their
DSTVs to the Yoruba movie channel of
the satellite television; rather, they
watch some other movie channel that
show English movies with actors and
actresses of Igbo extraction. Why?
Because most Yoruba movies are short
of creativity.
I can also articulate that 85% of the
CEOs and executive directors of
commercial banks operating in Nigeria
today are Igbos and Hausas under the
age of 50. They are very talented in
boardroom politics, unlike their Yoruba
counterparts, and they assist each
other with an amazing ease.
Educationally, the Yorubas are no
longer in the top-three. According to
the National Universities Commission
(NUC), Anambra, Imo and Enugu have
the highest number of professors and
doctorate degree holders in Nigeria.
Ekiti and Ondo states that used to top
the list have been demoted to number
four and six respectively.
In 2014, the reports of the West African
Examinations Council (WAEC) and the
National Examination Council (NECO)
revealed that the Yorubas have been
upturned by the Easterners in terms of
academic performance. Ekiti, a state
known as fountain of knowledge, was
number 34 in 2013.
The Yorubas are also missing in the
sports sector. The Golden Eaglets,
Flying Eagles, Super Eagles, Flamingoes,
Falconets, Super Falcons, D’Tigers, other
national teams are dominated by the
Igbos and Hausas. The team that won
the African Cup of Nations for Nigeria
in 2013 was tagged Biafran national
team by some columnists and social
commentators, including myself.
Politically, the Igbos and Hausas are
more united than the Yorubas. The
result of the 2015 presidential election
is a point of reference. The Hausas
voted massively for General Buhari of
the APC, while the Igbos extraordinarily
voted for Goodluck Jonathan of the
PDP.
Sadly, the Yorubas had no bearing
during the election. Jonathan’s inner
circle members are currently blaming
the Yorubas for their son’s expected
defeat. Victorious Buhari’s
teammates are reportedly saying that
the Yorubas contributed little or
nothing to the success of their kinsman.
In conclusion, I want to impel my
generation in the Western part of
Nigeria to wake up and begin to act.
The nation of Nigeria that I am seeing
today is hemorrhaging. I suggest we put
ourselves in strategic positions. The
bitter truth is that our leaders only
think for themselves and their children.
Those quacks are whacked! grin grin grin grin cheesy

LOL. It's not called "Aba-Made" PhD for nothing -- nothing authentic comes from that corridor, all na "China" cheesy. The average Igboman DESPERATELY needs to reassure himself that he's "somebody" owing to his innate inferiority complex. Allow them please. No be today Dem begin beat chest. grin

Peace out.

STFU, Ekiti state's STATE MANTRA is 'fountain of knowledge'. When asked what Awolowo did all we hear of is a fake free education even though all of your parents paid school fees. Some of you lairs will say your from lagos and your parents got 'free education' when Awolowo never administered Lagos but you're too ignorant to understand this.

Every day your blabbing your offensive mouth about how yoruba are the most 'educated' and 'sophisticated' while touts are approaching my car in Lagos begging for N100 wielding fire wood. Get out of here, bad belle

Lol.
The biggest markets in the East are actually some of the largest in the country and the west African subregion.
Any attempt to take away commerce, indigenous industrialization and Quality education from the east is ridiculous .

Competition is good.... It makes people sit up. Do you know for example that if Nigeria was not located in West Africa, Ghana would not have any movie or music industry to speak of? lol
We can all learn from one another.

one thing you can't take away from Igbo's whether you like it or not is the spirit of
overtaking. in many cases, Igbo 's are hardly the first but once it is desirable, then
overtaking is allowed.

this a typical phd thought. Why are you people so malicious? People go to Sw university for the post graduate degree because it is easier their. My uncle told me that it is very difficult to have a post graduate degree in SE universities than in SW. And I know and believe because I know one man that have failed more than twice in my school but got it immediately in unilag. He came and he was complaining of the strict and unnecessary stringent measures! Liar like you are the reasons why deadly diseases befall human
