Photo Of The Nigerian Diplomat Equatorial Guinea Police Beat Up Mercilessly by lalasticlala(mod):
We earlier reported this https://www.nairaland.com/2328216/noah-ichaba-nigerian-diplomat-beaten-equatorial but the picture of the diplomat wasn't there. But now it has emerged.

“The incident occurred at Kilometre 6, Roundabout, Bata police checkpoint,” the diplomat said.

He said the policeman pulled him out of the cab, slapped him and punched him several times in the glare of a multitude of onlookers.

The Nigerian consulate in Bata, in its reaction, wrote a note to the Equatorial Guinean authorities, condemning the police action and also demanding for unreserved apology from the government.

The note reads: “Consequent to this unfortunate incident which demonstrated the unfair treatment which even our nationals often received from policemen during ‘control’ is now extending to diplomats, which is the violation of diplomatic immunity accorded diplomats by Vienna Convention, the Consulate-General of Nigeria wishes to express its outright dismay for the action of the policemen and demands for an unreserved apology and the host authorities’ guarantee of its diplomats’ safety in the country.”

Re: Photo Of The Nigerian Diplomat Equatorial Guinea Police Beat Up Mercilessly by Nobody: 8:46pm On May 22, 2015
Ok. .

1. How come his face is extremely dark? Was he beaten pulp ie black and no blue?

2. It appears that he was found wanting either breaking the law of the land or violating laid principles.

3. Can't Jonathan recall this diplomat for further consultation?

4. This incident must be entered as a civil case and must not be swept under the carpet.

5. Citizens have to be mobilised to express displeasure over this incident.

Nigeria continues to set negative new records. This is the first time I'm hearing of a diplomat being pummelled by a foreign police.

Why is his face so black and indiscernible in the second pic, did the pummelling infuse more melanin into his face? grin

Anyway Nigeria was already asking for trouble sending that man as an ambassador. Look at his face, he looks very rough

Truly, that reaction sounds too weak and unbecoming of giant of Africa; that is, if we truly are.

What a country really!!!

Now I'm wondering if they could treat a diplomat this way and get away with, what is the faith of an ordinary Nigerian citizen.
