josh4ever: You don't need to insult the man @cramjones. He is very right We don't need all these figures being reeled out all the time, what we want to see is light, people, if you are not, are tired of these excuses, today it is Gas, tomorrow it vandalism, next 2mrw, it is drop in rainfall, another day it is Strike, so are we meant to remain in perpetual darkness for what?!!. I have been reading through everyone's posts, and i really feel sorry for Nigerians....Not even trying to be patronizing, but i am very much empathetic. Hopefully Buhari and his new government can clean up the mess. I will advice Buhari to use a "very common sense" and diversify Nigeria's economy! The Agricultural sector needs to be revived, we need to start exporting cocoa and all. Also the manufacturing sector, lets start becoming a nation of producers and not just consumers.....Why not? That way jobs can be created.....concurrently, he must tackle the problem of POWER.....Without electricity things will never work out! Lead by example.....The government is too expensive....CUT the salaries these parasitic so called senators pay themselves....This is the time to make such sacrifices! 2 Likes |

We've had light for a total of 10secs since Sunday. What they do is flash about 2x a day (not even everday). As in the alarm goes off and doesn't even sound till the end before its turned off. |

Reference:the truth is most billionaires and millionaires are unwilling to invest in the power sector for 2 or 3 reasons, eg fear that a different government will come and forcefully take over their investment, the fear of their investments being destroyed by some militants and the fear of incurring losses...... But all in all, its sacrifice coz if they really wanted to help solve these power problem, they could do it within 3-5 years. There is no way the government can fix it alone whether (jonathan or buhari) this is why the billionaires and millions of nigeria have to step in and help solve the situation. Imagine if dangote, oyedepo, other richmen were to built either 500 or 1000 megawatts each, wouldnt it go along way to do something? |

14:i know that but there are actually alot of nigerian billionaires and millionaires who have billions and millions in their accounts. (money alone) the problem is that many of them arent jux willing to help. |

Nobody should at this time be blaming the unions. Is it a crime to fight for your right?? Would you say that the civil servants currently on strike are evil by engaging in that action?? Is it their fault that they've been working for months without pay?? It all bores down to the leadership of this nation, not necessarily Jonathan alone but all his cohort s as well. They've run this country to a grind. Nigeria is more like an almost knocked engine cos of their actions and policies and this has caused effects that are disturbing. The unions are not at fault. If they were, why can't the government shun them (legally). |

Unless President Mohammed Buhari implements the agreements of Nigerians at the CONFAB, there will be crisis in Nigeria. Buhari has said he will dump the CONFAB agreements into the dustbin. As for me and my own corner of Nigeria, CONFAB approved a 50% derivation principle. What needs to happen now is a guerrilla warfare against oil pipelines, installations and personnel until the agreement is implemented. |

Just because Gas was shut off in the Niger-delta, all the plants in the SW did not function. Without mincing words, it is an indication of those that hold the Nigerian economy. 1 Like |
