Point of Correction Sir, I wasn't dogmatic with respect to GEJ. I lost confidence in the alternative with respect to their plans and sincerity.

People like Elder Orubebe should understand that Ijaw people are no fools. YES, we are fighting to end the fraudulent system that disfavors us but it doesn't mean we are blind to see other of our problems. Orubebe Sir, how many road network did you build as Minister of State for Niger Delta Affair (2008-2010) and Minister of Niger Delta Affair 2010-2014? Please, relax where you are and stop preaching "marginalisation". You were in government, you had the power to push then end of it but because of your own interest you remained like all is well.

@Topic: how do you expect us to fish when our waters have been polluted and fishes are going extinct? We shall continue to advocate for what is ours and end to marginalisation. If the State want us to fish, then they have to backoff from our waters so we can fish.
Mr barcanista or whatever you call yourself can you see that your stupid party PDP negelected your ijaw people even ur GEJ couldn't do anything PEJ which is from ur mumu area was bent of fighting Amaechi and negelecting the people....PDP is one useles party for bring orubebe as minister of Niger Delta all he did was embezzle money and build mansion in his village and abj...thank God we rejected GEj and your acidic party

So you thought it was better to continue with the same failed president and failed party of the past 16 years than giving an alternative group a chance? Anyway, everyone is entitled to their choice, I was just curious because the logic you espoused in your criticism of Orubebe now seemed non-existent before.
Do you consider a party filled with same people that wrecked the system and a candidate that is backed by same cabals an alternative? Anyway...election is over!

Time for governance

Some weeks ago, you were singing their praises. What has changed? Is it because the Orubebe himself is now seeing reason to understand that the problem with Nigeria is not much of marginalization but that of bad leadership?

Go fish! There are people who still fish in Ijaw land. grin

Lmao! Haba. on an aside, in a saner clime, this guy should have been held for questioning and heavy interrogation from the day he tried to disrupt a national process. Imagine trying this in zimbabwe...

The first thing you have EVER EVER said that made sense. Maybe it was an accident, maybe there is hope I don't know. I just wish you had cast that same lens of objectivity over Jonathan himself and ask him what his administration did for the region or Nigeria in general apart from his wife fighting with governors.
Perhaps you don't know the guy's story. In fairness to him, he initially used his lens of objectivity on GEJ and his administration until he was "approached with offer of protection" and then jumped ship.

Of course they never go there. They simply sit in abuja and incite the poor boys in the creeks while they enjoy whatever spoils come as a result.

A minister of state for 3 years and substantive minister for 5 years.....how many poor folks did he pull out of poverty?

How many fishing schemes did he set up?

Things like that Will improve the life of lot of people. Place like Zaria, have no functioning factories, but the many schools there help the city to survive.

Ijaw people owns oil and it's stvpidity to tell them to go back to fishing.
Anyone that wants to fish should do so.

Other regions should leave their oil for them and concentrate on their own resources especially Northerners.

Thieves!

the big question is- Can fishing significantly help improve the economy of the Ijaw Nation or SS or even Nigeriahuh....
Wen we talk about economy diversification, we really need to have an indepth knowledge about what exactly we are doing....i knw fishing can be done in very large scale, but according to u- which water u wan catch large fishesgrin...oyel water!!

When UNEP asked Shell to clean up its oil spill in the Niger Delta, Ogoni land, in particular, did Jonathan make sure Shell do it? Who is Niger Delta's enemy, Jonathan or Shell?
