I think your baby is fine. Babies are different and achieve milestones at their own pace not by all these record time keepers. So far he/she has some level of control at 3 months, I think it's okay. As they grow older the neck will be firmer between 4-5 months. I don't think a 3 months old baby can have it all together perfectly.

Thanks ma'm. Hopefully her neck will be firm before she's 4 month. She just clocked 3 yesterday.

[quote author=lovinam post=34039157]Have you tried johnson baby creme? My kid reacted to the lotion so I generally stay away from it. I haven't started using lotion on my lo though I got baby magic lavender/chamomile calming lotion.

Thanks ma,will try it.

For mama's asking about neck control, let ur baby have lots of tummy time when awake (lie face down on bed/playmat) this helps build back & neck muscles. As for sitting, NEVER sit a child who hasn't mastered neck control. It will lead to back pain later

Hi! I can imagine how frustrating it is to nurse a picky/fussy eater!!!! How are you giving the cereals-spoon or bottle? if bottle try using spoon, if spoon try using the bottle. Some babies skip cereals entirely and move onto adult/normal foods straight. You can try soft boiled potatoes, indomie noodles or amala with plain ewedu. He may like it....

Good luck and hope this helps ....

Please I need some expert opinions. I found commercially prepared soybean powder in a supermarket. It has crayfish, dryfish and groundnut added to it. Do you think I should get it for my baby? I can't make it myself. He's already taking pap but when I put crayfish in it, he doesn't like it.

Just cut down on your rations. Two kitchen spoons of rice is ok, don't eat the whole pot cos its delicious. Lol. Avoid bread, reduce carbs , eat lots of veggies. One wrap of swallow will do just fine, that's if you care for it. Try not to eat after 7pm. Note: you still need to do some sort of woprk out sha.

DON'T BUY IT. If soya is not well prepared its dangerous. There is absolutely no way you can tell how the company prepared it.

It's fine if you want to give water but I didn't give water to my LOs and they never constipated. Their system worked fine with the formula I bought and I also adhered to the measurements religiously.

There so much a baby's tummy can take, if water fills up that space, where will the formula stay?

But like I said above, it's a controversial issue but talking from experience, I didn't give water until 6 months and my LOs never constipated.

Abeg I share your sentiments jare.....my first was exclusively formula fed from 2 weeks and my pediatrician said no water until he starts semi solid food. He was never constipated. Formula is made with water too and I have heard horror stories of water diluting babies blood causing convulsion. I think it is a 9ja thing though....becos my sister tried many times to make me give my LO water. I could bearly get him to drink enough formula.

Whatever stand you take on this issue,it is always good to seek your pediatrician's advice.

Sometimes babies don't poo daily but 3weeks is a long time to keep it all in.

First thing in the morning give him a cup or more if possible of warm water.

You can also squeeze an orange and give him with a spoon or in his feeding bottle.

Try to aid him to poo once a day or once in 2days at most.
hope this helps
