Liadi2:************************************** The prices of cattle varies due to sizes n breeds the breed i will advise on is d GUDALI breed. It ranges between 45k - 55k for at least 4 - 5 months old. The breed grows bigger than every other breed in Nigeria and is easily domesticated; i.e not as aggressive as other breed. Ram that can grow faster n bigger ranges between 12k - 18k or more, depending on sizes too and the female ranges between 10k - 15k also depending on sizes. I will advise u go for a breed called UDAH commonly has two colours --- black/white or brown/white and at times black/white/brown. The cattle and ram breed are of breeds with a very rapid growth if well fed and well taken care of. The prices are not fixed and can b lesser depending on market status. I stopped travelling to some places far north since the spread of terrorists in the north but i have a good and reliable source that brings down the flock i desire to Ibadan. I only travel to some northern parts like Jigawa and Katsina to buy rams i can fatten for Sallah festival. The cost off transportation is already added to the cost of purchase. |

GGfadar: cost of starting up a small/backyard organic turkey farm of 120 birds from 6weeks old Cost of turkey @ 6 weeks = 1,500 each 1,500 * 120 = 180,000 Cost of feeding 1st month = 400kg * 100naira = 40,000. Medication = 4,000 Total 1st month = 44,000 2nd month feeding, 400kg * 100naira/ kg = 40,000 naira. Medication = 2,500 Total = 42,500. 3rd month feeding 400kg * 100naira/kg = 40,000naira. Medication = 2,500 Total = 42,500. 4th month feeding. 400kg * 100naira/kg = 40,000naira . Medication = 2,500 Total = 42,500naira. 5th month feeding. 400kg * 80naira/kg = 32,000naira. Medication = 2,500 Total = 34,500naira 6th month feeding. 400kg * 80/kg = 32,000naira. Medication = 2,500. Total = 34,500 TOTAL FOR FEEDING + MEDICATION = 240,500NAIRA Excluding major facilities like pen house, feeders and drinkers e.t.c Female turkey will start laying eggs at 6 months old for people that wants to breed and males can go for slaughter from 8 months ADD COST OF PURCHASING TURKEY.... 240,500 + 180,000 = 420,500 3 Likes |

If you are interested in livestock farming on a medium scale level, first thing first, acquire a land ( 1 hectare ) Erect a room or two room apartment to accommodate workers and fence at least four Plots with wire fence ten meters to the apartment. The fenced plots is to keep animals in a small shelter after grazing and in case you wish to feed them with concentrates and give them medications when needed. Another important facility is water supply. All these are to be considered first before anyone ventures into this biz. If you think these tasks are too heavy for you alone to start up, this is an opportunity for you to achieve your goals in AGROBIZ, join us in this cattle breeding agrobiz and you too can start having ur flock.. Land is in place herdsman is at work management is going on investors still welcomed pictures will b posted soon Our future is getting brighter....... for enquiries link me on whatsapp 08187212102 |
