Rawani:
The marketers round-tripping antics are common knowledge yet they were allowed to continue under Goodluck's disastrous administration.

General Buhari specifically mentioned this menace, no wonder some marketers suddenly became saints overnight that care for the Nigerian masses and hospitals after years of diverting government funds that would have ensured better healthcare systems and improved the lives that our oil-supermen now claim to be saving.
The marketers were there in 1983, 1985,1993,1994, 1999 and 2007. The only problem was that it was strictly for two sections of our dear country. We had men owning more than 20,000 tankers. It was worst then. They sell to government at market price, buy from government at susidies price and smuggle it of to other west african countries were it is sold at market price. Except you were not yet born then. Please do research before you type things that are not accurate.

Its only in nigeria, nigerians will be left at the mercy of oil marketers.

This is a valid reason why subsidy should go, if only the protesters of 2012 knew what was ahead, they would have fully supported GEJ on the remover of subsidy...
THANK God, at least I v seen few people that are following the development in d country. Many has called GEJ all kinds of name cos of this subsidy. Nigerians r d hardest people to please on earth. The worst part is that people who know absolutely nothing about a particular issue will resort to insult and verbal abuse on the president, he tried to remove fuel subsidy, they cried foul n said it was anti people, he allowed subsidy to continue y trying to checkmate marketers corrupt practices, yet some dumb Nigerians ll still cry foul n call him names.
Read news, no way. Instead anything their messiah (Buhari) says is d truth. I just hope that Buhari ll scrap off subsidy as he claims to get confused anytime he hear people talk about subsidy. Only then ll Nigerians know d real worth of a tortoise at Daura market. Smh

[s]I really laugh @ u n whoever wrote all those nonsense.

There is no fuel subsidy in Nigeria and yet soludo, sanusi, Okonjo iweala and all the technocrats who has managed Nigeria never knew n they kept paying ithuh

U really need to come out from that place u have put urself.

Cost of landing gasoline to Nigeria now is less than 85 naira because of crude oil crash, wen crude oil is priced @ over 100 dollars per barrel, the landing cost exceeds 100 naira per litre.

Finally u can believe the one u prefer.[/s]
What you should do is apologise for falsely accusing me, not posting that tripe up there. Not that I expected much though...Cheers.

I don't think you understand how petroleum subsidy works. Buy what at subsidized price? The subsidy we talk about is on imported PMS by the marketers, and that's because we now lack refining capacity for our crude.

There is no defence for this fraud which was fostered by Jonathan's sheer incompetence.

Ok lets assume that i dont know how subsidy works. At what time did our refineries lack the capacity for satisfying the local market?

Useless bunch of people they are.

They're used to stealing our common wealth through spurious claims.

As I have said severally, it's getting clearer that "subsidy" is a big scam.

Did you read the report?

We are talking of their usual past sharp practices and you're talking this?

No amount of defending on NL and other social media will save anyone who is found guilty of swindling Nigeria, should Buhari decide to probe subsidy scam.

I quite understand the singular aim of a capitalist is Profit Maximization. However, being in business comes with a strong responsibility of promoting social welfare of the host community. Hence, the oil marketers are not kind enough and ravaged with selfish interest, by shutting Nigeria as a nation. Only God knows at what extent the recent sufferings occasioned by their(Oil Marketers) actions have brought pains and discomfort to the masses.

PENGASSAN and NUPENG were on strike meaning the the gas needed to run the gas plants producing electricity was unavailable. Of course you know the fractional distillation of crudeoil...where gas, kerosene and petrol are some of the major products. So once the oil and gas marketers stop the distribution, it will cripple electricity too.

A lot of people thing FG is the real problem, sometimes thats true but the real threat to Nigeria are all the UNIONS, they are so dependent on the status quo that they dont allow progress in the country. A well meaning Nigerian comes into government to change things and before you know it, they go on strike, complain government is trying to sack them, complain they have not been paid. The reason why FG salaries are so high is because of them, until we get rid of them, incompetence will always surround FG

PENGASSAN, NUPENG, NTU, ASCSN. These are some of the unions destroying this country. in fact I cant call them unions, they are some of the cabals destroying this country from within

Spot on!!! the unions are as dangerous as the cabals, going on strike without 'proper' deliberation with the authority should be banned IMO.
