A haiku poem: Melancholia by basille(op):
Severe lightning flashs,
reflects the gloomy night sky.
Quiet, lonely, darkness.

Somewhere in nowhere.
A misery bounded heart bleeds.
Pillow soaked in tears.

Melancholia flows.
Psychology’s name for sad,
Depression they say.

Scribbled note of cause.
Some pills to end the mind’s pain.
Drifting life away.

A pause in time felt.
The world stopped, silent, to mourn.
Oblivion awaits.

nice haiku bro. I wouldn't say its a senryu cuz it addresses pertinent emotional issues, so yes its a haiku. I love the last verse! grin

Thanks man, i labeled it senyrū because i thought it touched some aspect of human nature (psychological).

Correction noted.

Well, I've seen writers/poets combining both together. You started off with senryu in the first verse but objectively continued with haiku with other verses. I might be wrong though but studies have shown otherwise. Great job!

Oh! Why is that? Your piece is deep; I'd love to see more of your musings, basille.
