The first priority is the Boko Haram madness that is wasting human lives without blinking. And he has already taken a step in stating that the Command and Control Centre of the Boko Haram war should be relocated to Maiduguri. There is no room for underperformance by the commanders. Let their lives also be at stake in Maiduguri, then the seriousness of the situation will talk to them. The time of chilling in comfort zones in Abuja is over.

They should deploy to Maiduguri and perform, otherwise quit the stage. If the entire country is under attack will they need to move their command centre to a peaceful place like the moon before they can pursue the war?? If the entire country is the war theatre, won't they have their command centre in the war zone?? They are not getting the heat because they are in faraway Abuja chilling with chicks and politicians. When they get the heat at the theatre of war and action, they will definitely perform.

That is Buhari telling you that the main reason our economy is not growing as it should is because of the power sector. Which indicates he understands the urgency of the situation.

He may later dedicate an entire session with the press to discuss Nigeria power problems. What he did intelligently in his address is to tell us the focal point of his administration and he did that brilliantly. Quoting PMB again on the power issue:

"Continuous tinkering with the structures of power supply and distribution and close on $20b expanded since 1999 have only brought darkness, frustration, misery, and resignation among Nigerians. We will not allow this to go on. Careful studies are under way during this transition to identify the quickest, safest and most cost-effective way to bring light and relief to Nigerians."

He clearly and emphatically stated that his administration will not allow this to go on as it is now. As a doctor u claimed you are, you should be aware of the importance of carrying out detailed study before implementation. That is the major key to success in any human endeavour. From what was transmitted to them, he has stated that a study is underway to discover fastest and safest way to deliver cost effective power supply to people like you. If after 8 months, they are yet to brief the country in detail as to their plans in this regard and then start implementation, then people like you can cry foul. I may even join you sef. You mean if Niger delta militant start bombing tommorrow again you will relocate again to bayelsa.? Ok, sorry for being hard on you with my opening. Bros there is nothing called old school when you talk about military strategy. You can call some equipment and gadgets old sch and outdated. But definitely not strategy. An integral part of military training is a study of different historical wars and the different strategies involved.

You definitely can not know a quarter of what Buhari knows about military operations and strategy. He was a career soldier with loads of domestic and foreign trainings and battlefield experience. He knows what he is saying. Infact I can even challenge you that you have never heard of a Command and Control Centre until this Buhari speech.

The Command and Control Centre (CCC) is that of the Boko Haram war. Don't get it mixed up. It is not as if he is moving the defence headquarters (DHQ) to Maiduguri. If a war is going on in the Niger Delta and the Commander in Chief feels that the gains made by the Commanders after a while is not much while having the Command and Control Centre (CCC) at another location, it makes perfect sense to change strategy by relocating the CCC of the imaginary Niger Delta war to the war theatre itself. Command and Control Centre is specific to a particular battle.

I agree with you that we need to challenge our leaders. But we must do this within the confines of intelligent criticism. Not just criticising for the purpose of having something to say.

The current govt has handed some things over to him, he needs to study them before blending the realities on ground with his own plans. During interview everybody can promise heaven on earth, after assuming the job you need a lot of study before you can properly blend what is on ground with your own plans.
