The bitter truth is our league is so poor it's not even funny. If the FA had allowed the league to grow from the days of 3SC,Plateau United,Mighty Jets,Rangers,Iwauyanyu National etcl till date. Who would bother with the English league. Can't blame FIFA, most Nigerian refs can't compete with their counterparts from other parts of the world

But a nigerian referee would never take a bribe. Nigerians aren't really known for such behaviour.

Nigerians referees are cheat .... One of them told me standard officiating style in Nigerian league is "balanced officiating in first half , home-favoured officiating in second half" ... because they have collect bribe from both home and away team ..... balance the game in first half to satisfy away team , favoured home in second half so as not to be mobbed by home teams and their fans.

Nigerian Government has not attached any importance to our football ..... it has to be strictly deregulated and the appropriate atmosphere for security and independent judgement of referees should be guaranteed.

Yeah, our referees have long way to go, but all those white referees are not perfect as well.

I went for a training session with Allstars at Uyo Township Stadium,playing for my opponent was an acclaimed FIFA Referee,this guy said I tackled him roughly so he Kicked me in my Stomach.That's someone that officiates in Nigeria premier league.
