So you also don't think Angel Gabriel is Jesus' Angel because he doesn't worship Jesus, rather he said "HAIL MARY?!"

Luke 1

26 In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And coming to her, he said, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.”

You see that your thinking is a foolish one!

We Catholics will continue to emulate the Angel of God.

You can emulate scammers and call them pastors.

Catholics are not Christians, they are devil worshippers.

They compiled the Bible and changed the day of worship to Sunday...and "Christians" adhere to these their practice and doctrine.

Devil worshippers decided what books Christians should read as scripture...and on what day they should worship.

Devil worshippers have existed since the time of Christ but Christians originated with the reformation, 1600 years after Christ died.

Fools!

Angel Gabriel hailed mary... as a greeting, you guys hail her, like she's the one that brought salvation, and died on the cross. You literally pray to mary! And most catholics rev. Sis and priest, are mere hypocrites!! Now dont argue with me no more!

Priests and Sisters that left everything to follow Jesus are hypocrites, but scammers that pose as pastors to buy private jets and use it to launder money are saints.

Again, the question is why is belief warranted...... undecided

Calling things "foolish" because they go against preconceived notions of authority isn't very smart either....especially when you have nothing to judge how accurate you are but are relying on Faith and circular arguments... smiley

The church was not dying in Byzantium; it flourished until the schism of 1054 when suddenly half of the church became Orthodox instead of Catholic.

The Church was barely present in the Soviet Union; Russians are almost entirely orthodox

The Church was not dying in Nazi Germany; they willingly cooperated with Hitler, and they maintained their anti-Jewish position until the 1960s.

I'm not saying that the Catholic Church will disappear anytime soon, but it has lost a great deal of power in Europe over the past 50 years.

i wanted to tell u that the idea that the church was willingly cooperated the nazi in their anti jewish stance was an urban myth, but it seems someone already talked about it.

Onetrack please can you explain more on this atheist of a thing. If you dont believe in God,what or who do you believe in?

I believe in evidence. At this point there is no evidence for the existence of any particular god, and it is evident to me that religions are all man-made.

The bold means "dying." Yet the Catholic Church lives on in Byzantium and all over the world.

5.5 million Catholics were in the Soviet Union. The Atheist Govt tortured and killed hundreds of priests and confiscated scores of Churches. Stalin's even boasted that the Church would be dead in a generation. Stalin's is dead. The Atheist Govt is dead. Communism is dead. The Catholic Church lives on.

For someone who talks much, you know too little. Please read how Nazis persecuted the Catholic Church. Read about the 2500 Catholic priests that were tortured and killed in the Nazi concentration camp in Dachau. I don't want to win an argument. I just want you to be enlightened.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_persecution_of_the_Catholic_Church_in_Germany

Jesus never said his Church would never lose power in Europe.

Jesus said he would be with his Church forever and the gates of hades would never prevail against it.

There are now only about 150,000 Catholics in Russia--about 0.1% of the population

There are about 35,000 Catholics in Turkey, which includes ancient Byzantium/Constantinople--about 0.05% of the population

No doubt the Nazis persecuted Catholic organizations, but not because the Church opposed the Nazis. The Pope was quite anxious to come to an agreement with the Nazi government, as the Church had openly supported Fascist movements in Italy (Mussolini) and Spain (Franco); the Nazis had other ideas as they didn't really want any kind of rival organization with outside support. There is no evidence that the Church was inherently opposed to Nazi ideology.

I see! The Nazis killed thousands of priests, confiscated and destroyed hundreds of Catholic property because the Church was in agreement with the Nazis.

Brilliant!

Yes but not because the Catholic Church opposed them; rather the Nazis had other ideas that did not include the Catholic Church. Of course there were some individual priests who actively opposed the Nazi regime and died heroic deaths.

I don't hate Catholics (at least I think that they are Christian unlike some of your other Christian brethren), but the Church has run into serious trouble in Europe and is starting to see trouble in the Americas, including Brazil. What happened in Ireland is a sign of this.

I dont think you hate Catholics. I just think you choose to hold on to misinformation about Catholicism.

What happened in Ireland is not as bad as what happened in Ancient Rome, Soviet Union, Nazi Germany etc.

Yet the number of Catholics keep growing.

The Catholic Church tried to accommodate fascism in the 1920s and 1930s. They did so successfully Italy and Spain. The Pope wanted an accommodation with the Nazis and was willing to work with them, until the Nazis decided that the Church did not fit into their plans. In other words, it wasn't the Church that opposed the Nazis.

1.4 billion is too high; even the Church itself says about 1.2 billion, but certainly the Church's own estimates are high.

My friend are you reffering to the Concordat here? The concordat was not an acknowledgement if the Nazi government but was simply a plea for the protection of Christians. The Hitler's pope myth was created by a Protestant playwright in a drama 20 years after the second world war. Have you read Mit Brennender Sorge a papal condemnation of the Nazi state? Do you know that the Chief rabbi of Rome converted to Catholicism after the war mostly as a gesture of gratitude to the Pope? Do you know that the Catholic Church issued fake baptism certificates to Jewish children? Have you read the testimonies of Jewish leaders of the time including the Israeli PM Golda Meier?

Lol. Actually you have a wrong understanding of what the church is. Firstly, the church is not a corporate body that is area-bound but a group of persons. An assembly. A community of individuals is what makes up a church. When two or three of this people come together, we have a church.

They bible defines church as THEY not IT.

For examples,

Acts 5:11 , So great fear came upon all
the church and upon all who heard these
things.
Acts 8:1 , ...At that time a great
persecution arose against the church
which was at Jerusalem; and they were all
scattered...
Acts 8:3 , As for Saul, he made havoc of
the church, entering every house, and
dragging off men and women, committing
them to prison.
Acts 11:22 , Then news of these things
came to the ears of the church in
Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to
go as far as Antioch.

Yes there are "churches" today founded by men but they do not believe like the early Christians, the early church and the few believers around today. They are man-made and hence operate like one. You don't expect otherwise, do you?

You can't see the church am talking about, doesn't mean (they) are not out there. These people are not extra ordinary people. They feel everything you feel, they don't have physical marks on them, they cry, they laugh, they fall sick, they lack, they abound, they die too. The only thing that sets them apart is Christ in them. Though dwelling in this world like every other person, they see themselves as foreigners because of the one in them. They are the church. They are the salt and the light of the world. The body of Christ. They don't usurp authority over one another, even though they have elders, pastors, teachers, they are still equal and see themselves as such.

This is the church Christ died for and promised to be with till the end of time.

I don't know why you asking me that, but there are some great Christian scholars made by God's grace. A few come to mind Charles Spurgeon, A.W Pink, Martin Lurther king (snr). What they taught and what they wrote had and is still having great positive influence in the Christian church today.

He has not heard about all these.

People like him only search around for negative stories about the Church, then believe them, whether true or false.

If the story sounds positive, the make themselves deaf like the proverbial 'fly wey follow deadbodi enter grave.'
