It's amazing how easy it is to destroy tremendous goodwill in such a short space of time.
Ex President, GEJ, began the backward slope with the now famous "I don't give a damn" when questioned about asset declaration, he never recovered from it, that was the beginning of the end for him.
Now PMB, has stupidly decided to fall into the same trap, not learning from his predecessor. Why make a promise and renege on it? On something not even mandatory as the (PAD), now his integrity has begun to be questioned.
Let no one defend this act, intelligent Nigerians know PMB is being economical with the truth and he should save those mundane excuse for cerebral retards. I mean any intelligent individual can give a brilliant excuse to cover up a lie.
Even if I does finally make it public, it would seem like he was pressured to do so... not a good look for MR President and APC, as I dare say this may also be the beginning of the end for him as his good will begins to erode him.
This may usher in the Death of SAI BABA and the Birth of KAI BABA!

To retain the public goodwill PMB should have sent a media to the press as he was sending one to the CCB. We want to believe he has nothing to hide.

All this 30 day stuff is not helping his case at all, Nigerians are tired of leaders who are not straight-forward.

This is nonsense... What is the relationship between CCB Asset declaration and that of the Public? When does CCB have oversight with respect to public asset declaration?

For the record, whatever is declared before CCB stays with CCB even after their own verification. They will publish it in government gazette and not the media. This has always been the process since 1999 and has applied to everybody. CCB does NOT publish any public officer asset to the public except there is a court warrant or via petition(even at that it is very difficult).

So what stops Buhari from publishing the same information that he gave CCB to the media? What kind of "verification" are Buharists even talking? Is it that CCB is Buhari's accountant or Estate Valuewers? Or is it that Buhari isn't sure of what he gave CCB? What does Public Asset Declaration (PAD) got to do with CCB?

There is no law anywhere that said "CCB must first verify before one can publish to the public".

I don't like mentioning him as well because he gives him unnecessary/undeserved ego. It's just that of recent, he's going from bad to worst. I don't know why a sane fellow would say Buhari should declare his assets publicly when it's just 2days after he was inaugurated. It took Yaradua a month before his assets declaration was released to the public!

Then Garba Shehu should be blamed for telling the public that Buhari has fulfilled his campaign when the declaration has not yet been made public (which was the promise Buhari made during campaign).
