Those questions were not just pertinent, they were legitimate. For crying out loud, if you were a journalist, what would you ask Mugabe? What could be more relevant than those questions?

And if you knew the highlighted portion of your comment, why would you consider it an insult for a bad leader to be confronted?

" It was nevertheless up to the zimbabweans to dethrone this despot and not for Nigerian journalists to insult a man that came to the country to honour their president"

If you agree with the quote from the lady above, then it is not up to you or other Nigerians to force an elected president of a foreign country out of power by harassment or embarrassment. If you don't agree, then there is no point in joining issues with self-righteousness since you presumed the lady did not understand herself.

ITN reporter ambushes Robert Mugabe at AU summit.

An ITN reporter ambushed President Mugabe at the 2008 AU summit in Egypt.

Reporter: "President Mugabe, do you remember me? On what basis do you regard yourself as President of Zimbabwe? "

Zimbabwean and Egyptian bodyguards push him away.

President Mugabe: On the same basis that Brown regards himself as Prime Minister of the UK

Reporter: "Sir, you don't want your security man to beat me up in front of you.

Mugabe: Ah! But you are asking stupid questions. We are not a British colony. You are asking idiotic questions.

Who made you their spokesman? They love their president. The people are smart to see past the lies of the foreign press.. these Sahara reporters should know better... Mugabe doesn't deserve this sort of treatment from us... We as Africans let Libya down, let's not let that ever happen again.

Whoever told you that all countries in the world should be governed exactly how The US and UK wants is a big liar... The people of Zimbabwe have chosen Mugabe, you guys mind your business. We Nigerians are fond of taking everything at face value and that has beeb our problem. Ask yourself, why is it that China and Russia have no problems with Zimbabwe? That poor country has suffered a lot due to sanctions, just because the US and UK are not in support of Mugabe fellow Nigerians is this attitude Fair?

Ask him how his country is suffering from sanctions due to US and UK opposition to his policies...

Mugabe is a hero he has fought hard against these white folks telling us what we can and cannot do...

First they said we'd burn in hell if we don't go to church, these days they no longer believe in any God.. Now they want to force it on us to allow men to marry men and women marry women. How long shall we subject ourselves to accepting all the lies of the oyinbo man??
