[quote author=ECOTERRORS post=34408213]Our Ajalla and his associate are still travelling round, When the president focused on travelling and seems utterly confused about forming his cabinet and their party APC fighting over senate presidency then we are in for a long term inflation and gradual collapse of the economy. Who is running this country today?[/quote. You ve indicted GEJ already for running down this country, no matter how much you and your party try to paint PMB, we won't start judging him until a year in the saddle. For now we are still sweeping the mess your hero left behind. |

I think this is the best time to remove fuel subsidy, cos I am sure it will bring availability of the product and break these canals. |

shortgun:Posting this for the umpteenth time . . . have at it: We were against it because; 1. We can't fathom how subsidy payments that never exceeded N200-N300b naira for the past years would suddenly leap to N1.3t (roughly 400-500% increase) within the first year thereabout of President GEJ -- we were shocked. #fraud. 2. We also could not fathom how any half-sane man could be drilling oil in his backyard, with 4 refineries in his backyard (with land and space to build more, and 18 licences issued already to build more), but still imports finished petroleum products. (OBJ and GEJ=culprits). 3. To the common Nigerian man, the only 'direct' benefit he gets from the government is, the so called 'subsidized fuel', which we later discovered to be a farce after all . . . so when you are going to take those extra litres/miles from him, or make him pay extra to get them, he has no choice than to revolt/demonstrate/remonstrate. 4. Unless you are among the 1% of the 1%, every other person on the street knows fuel scarcity goes along with insane inflation. 5. You ask him to make sacrifices while the president feeds on N3m/day and has 10 aircrafts in his fleet, his senators get paid more than their counterparts in the richest country on earth. Yet, they find it hard to pay same minimum wage paid in the poorest countries on earth! How can we trust people of that ilk? 6. ATEOTD, subsidy was partially removed with promises of palliatives, and prosecution of the defrauders aka 'cabals', what did we get?Nothing, bar further fraud and corruption; from bribery scandals up to the speaker of the house (Cabal Otedola, well played) to mismanagement of the said saved funds from subsidy payments. How can you trust such people?!! Same people from the NNPC to the Petroleum ministry, to the CBN, to the Finance ministry, Budgets, both houses, up to the presidency that have no reliable database of how much oil is being drilled/sold per day, nor how much NNPC refines locally, nor how much we do consume/day. |

Mumu Social media Nigerian are talking and blaming leaders not in their favour. In 2012 Gej tried to deregulate but same fools talking here and elite fools like fashola et all refused. The went as far as organising jamboree in Lagos park to ensure it did not work .Same foolish people are desperately demanding for deregulation now. Tell us what has happened. Fools who could not see beyond their nose. If anyone does not know what subsidy is then he must surely know what we call cows. Gej a foresighted leader for sure any day any time. |

I think this is the best time to remove fuel subsidy, cos I am sure it will bring availability of the product and break these canals. Because this whole subsidy story is nothing but a scam. |

989900:All you have written above are reasons why we needed to do away with subsidy. I ask you again: why did you protest against the removal of fuel subsidy in 2012? |
| Re: Petrol Subsidy Rises To N48.15 Per Litre by ekpesa(m): 9:36am On Jun 04, 2015 |
When Gej removed subsidy two years ago, apc shouted hell saying there were better alternative of dealing with the issue, please let them don't even contemplate removing subsidy, let them apply the alternative solution they had in solving the problems. |

Those people pretending that there is no subsidy should discount and discredit this report. GMB and Apc must be told to do something quick before the situation get worse. GMB is acting as if nothing is happening; instead of him to give direction. Afterall the Ministry of petroleum is there. The shame of our past mistake is what is preventing Nigerians from actions so far and equally giving the new Government some time to settle. However, the suffering is getting worse by the day. Thank God that some major marketers are selling at N87; while many are selling at N120. I expect Prof Tam David-West to prove this report wrong. |

Kenobus:In making my contribution, I'd assume PMB would show sensitivity and act in a timely manner to abort this unsustainable subsidy regime. While himself and that blockhead Tam David West study the related hand-over notes to understand that there is indeed subsidy, though returning a bloated bill, the better for us. This men should understand that while these marketers are pocketing an extra 20 naira at least, in addition to their agreed margins while the mass of the people gain nothing. |

Ur oil cabal marketers in NUPENG in league with their big brodas in NLC and TUC staged a massive protest in Ojota accusing d govt. Of intending 2 inflict hardship on Nigerians. I cud vividly remember when Sanusi said that d payment of subsidy cud not be sustained on d long run. Now it's beginning 2 dawn on everyone 2 see d need 2 remove it dis instant. I watching Buhari closely as to what he'll do abt dis vexed issue of petrol subsidy. Jah bless |
