The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is currently holding its national convention in Awka, Anambra state.

The event which is holding at the Women Development Centre, Awka has produced new members of the National Working Committee.

The new national chairman of the party is Dr Victor Ikechukwu.

Labaran Maku, the Former Minister of information under ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, who flew the APGA flag in the Nasarawa governorship election emerged as new National Secretary.

Other Excos include Dr. Ifeatu Okoye as National Publicity Secretary; Chuks Nwoga as National Youth Leader; and Obiagu Amaka Ezinne as National Women Leader.

The writer said that the National chairman has changed to Victor Ikechukwu. It was Victor Umeh before the convention.

maybe we yorubas don't like travelling to other part of nigeria. Yorubas only travel round the SW from ibadan to lagos to oyo to ogun ,ondo and ekiti.

I'm not surprised about that. Even Labaran Maku was only giving recognition because they believe he has the clout to bring positive change to the party. And as for the self-centred Maku-he's an example of a typical Nigerian politician. Simply because he lost the primaries to contest as a governorship candidate in Nasarawa, he quickly decamped to APGA betraying PDP. Talk of a disloyal servant-like a political analyst said on channels TV, all they're interested in is their interest and not that of the citizens. If there's a party called Kidnappers' association of Nigerian and its platform can actualise their dreams, they'll certainly join. They have no values at all and I hope he'll be loyal to his new party!

::-- what ambition are you talking about? Those people are so united to the point of not contradicting themselves in public. If Ndigbo can copy them and apply the principle of unity& collective bargaining, then Nigerians will know ibos are serious politically. See where parochial ambition has led SE to at the national level as of today. Instead of presenting a joint presidential candidate, it is endorsement of other tribes that many will be sounding why some others are shouting Biafra without any concrete plan and action. We under estimate the Yorubas but, they are smarter in National politics. You can attack me for "spewing" the Truth. Thanks.

Wow, tell me more! So Yusuf Agabi who got 214 votes as against Maku's 160 came third? I think you would have also believed that 16 is greater than 19 too, right? Maku is just an arrogant bitter looser who's filled with greed and power intoxication. He never believed that he would loose the primaries to an unpopular face and it came to him as a shock. Do you know one of the reasons why Lawan is currently giving Saraki a run for his money for the senate presidency?-His loyalty to his party.
