Like I said the Ballon D 'Or is decided through voting by a selected few (Team Captains, Club Coaches and Selected sport analysts). I don't need to remind you also that most of them would vote based on sentiments and love for a particular player.

CR7 and Messi top that list of "Most Loved" players and thus the award would be dominated by both as part of their ongoing rivalry, until they both run out of juice.

To further answer your question, why did CR7 win the Ballon D 'Or last year ahead of Manuel Neuer?

Since I wasn't locking horns with anyone on this thread, which was seemingly an invaded and occupied with back and forth comments, I thought of means to join the fray but in a different approach. Realising that Barca fans are active here I decided to come up with ways of luring you guys to this line of UCL final argument. And it has been buzzling since it started. Doesn't mean I didn't Barca to be thrashed though. In fact, I'd planned to demonise you all Barca fans tonight had Juve won but God saved you all.
