Yes Extremes of poverty or wealth can lead to much unhappiness. If your child is hungry or sick and you cannot pay to feed them or treat them then that is one extreme. But there is always with ideas of poverty comparison to others. If we consider the material possessions of 21st century man and compare him to the situation maybe 600 years ago we wuld argue that 600 years ago with no electricity and no cars etc that nobody was happy. This is untrue. What make a man happy ?
1) security
2)You have food when you want it
3) Your manhood is working properly No amount of money can compensate for this
4) You have generally good health
5) you have freedom to come and go as you please and to say what you like and worship what you like


Do I want to have Dangote's money? No simply because I would not know what to do with it. I do not need more than 1 million naira a month to be happy and even that is because of the human fear of the unknown

As a Christian, my happiness is (I hope) always in God. Or should I say...the fact that God, who created the earth, the planets, the galaxies, our known and unknown universe, and the universes....is always with me, regardless of my circumstances....encouraging me, caring for me,enabling me to be more like him, enabling me to love him more than every other thing.

And that is happiness.Makes everything else so worthless....doesn't it.

You are still not getting our point. A poor man who can barely feed his family or meet up with his daily needs cannot be happy, even if he is the holiest man on earth. Even while worshipping God he may have that outward look of happiness but somewhere deep within there is a hidden sadness that is eating him up. One's happiness in God is directly proportional to his/her financial state.

I will get there, its a matter of time.
