A good friend of mine who resides in akure sent me a message this morning on whatsapp to warn me about the impending 'blood bath' that awaits people resident in akure ,especially those who walk very late at night..
If the story is true like I've heard from other reliable sources, a new deji of akure will emerge soon and the inauguration process (oro) is not usually a happy task..
To avoid stories that touch ..please inform your loved ones residing in akure to take heed..
However, we are in the 21st century, do you think such is necessary again?
Is there a way to curb this act?!

I don't like doing this but you tempted me. There are so many tribes in the North but the most troublesome are the Hausas. Some of these hausas are responsible for the highest killings that goes on in the North. The annoying part is that some of these dudes believe they have monopoly of violence and are so reckless, intimidating others in their region with reckless abandon and when they come down South, nobody troubles anybody.

Aside the Bokoharam issue which I believe the Northern leaders created, what about the unnecessary killings during the religious crises over years?

We can't justify the killings of innocent people for sacrifice all in the name of kingship and at the same time, we should also condemn any form of killing that goes on in the North.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Let us collectively condemn what is wrong without taking sides.
