Here are just a few of the many heresies of the RCC 1. The worship of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the use of the term, "Mother of God", as applied to her, originated in the Council of Ephesus (and is not Biblical) 2. The Bible teaches that we pray to God alone. In the primitive church never were prayers directed to Mary, or to dead saints. This practice began in the Roman Church. Act 10:25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshiped him. Act 10:26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man. 3. The Rosary, or prayer beads was introduced by Peter the Hermit, in the year 1090. Copied from Hindus and Mohammedans The counting of prayers is a pagan practice and is expressly condemned by Christ. Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 4. The sale of Indulgences, commonly regarded as a purchase of forgiveness and a permit to indulge in sin. Christianity, as taught in the Bible, condemns such a traffic and it was the protest against this traffic that brought on the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. 5. The dogma of Transubstantiation was decreed by Pope Innocent III By this doctrine the priest pretends to perform a daily miracle by changing a wafer into the body of Christ 6. The adoration of the wafer (Host), was decreed by Pope Honorius So the Roman Church worships a God made by human hands. This is plain idolatry and absolutely contrary to the spirit of the Gospel. 7. The Bible forbidden to laymen and placed in the Index of forbidden books by the Council of Valencia 8. The Scapular was invented by Simon Stock, and English monk It is a piece of brown cloth, with the picture of the Virgin and supposed to contain supernatural virtue to protect from all dangers those who wear it on Unclad skin. 9. In the year 1931 pope Pius XI, reaffirmed the doctrine that Mary is "the Mother of God" This doctrine was first invented by the Council of Ephesus in the year 431 (and is not Biblical) There are many many more. |

Good morning brethren I just want to announce that my special prayer intention during the just concluded novena has been answered. May all glory, honour, power, adoration, thanksgiving, be ascribed unto The king of kings, the Lord of Lords, the alpha and the omega, the ruler of rulers, the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the awesome wonder, the great provider, the mighty in battle, the defense of the defenseless, the father of the fatherless, the one who was, who is and who is to come, the one who died and is alive again, the hope of the righteous, the good shepherd. (To mention but a few )I'm blessed and highly favored to be a part of this wonderful family I pray that the same God, (according to his will) treat all of our requests with favour through Christ our Lord. Amen Glory to Jesus, Honour to Mary. |

Syncan:Amen Yes U've talked about timing in response to me at different times. Waiting for God's will in anything can be very difficult but when it comes to pass, u'll realize the wait was worth it. Only then u will see why he didn't intervene in a hurry. And your joy will just be complete. Thanks a lot bro. God bless you for me and for us all |

| Re: A Thread For Catholics by othenok(f): 5:35pm On Jun 09, 2015 |
Hi lovely people! I cant believe i missed the Novena in May. Anyway, hoping their will be more in future. Lest i forget, today'sgospel Matt 5:13-16 Christ talked of us being the salt of the earth. lukewarmness makes us lose our saltiness. It starts with the weakening of the will, brought about by means of repeated faults and cupable omissions, of frquently doing wrong and, failing to do what is right. A lot of us Catholics have sunk into Lukewarmness. Let us consider in our prayers today wether we are going forward with the firmness and confidednce that Jesus asks of us. If we arent lets promptly go for confession in order to close the gap the enemy has made and is attempting to widen in our defences. May God bless us all. |
| Re: A Thread For Catholics by SalC: 7:12pm On Jun 09, 2015 |
MariaGoretti:It has happened to me but I wish I never received an answer at all to that prayer let alone instantly. I prayed out of annoyance and got instant answer, it was a disastrous answer and I ended up wishing it never happened. I learnt my lesson: never pray out of annoyance. Thank God for you dear ![]() |
| Re: A Thread For Catholics by italo: 7:24am On Jun 10, 2015 |
MariaGoretti:Thank God for you. Sometimes God does something for me without/before my asking. Sometimes, it can be as little as making someone's car stop working when he's rushing to park where I wanted to park. Sometimes it can be as disastrous as afflicting someone with an injury or ailment when they're witch-hunting me. Sometimes I pray in the morning, only to realize that God has set the answer in motion yesterday night...as if he knew I'd pray for that thing (of course he knows) God is good...God is God. Good morning friends. I came to Lagos yesternight to meet the mother of my 'wife-to-be.' Please pray for me. |
