vedaxcool:Ok, for the sake of natural justice, let's award the 51 absentee senators' votes to Lawan. Result: Saraki 57-51 Lawan. Does that do justice to u now? If apc doesn't play their card well, this might lead to a lot of fracas and carpet-crossing. |

They will come with nothing. 1. The Presidential Conference Centre is a wrong venue. 2. No body asked them not to be in the house. 3. No law says everyone must be present only a quorum is needed. 4. The 'primary' election is not recognised by our constitution. 5. The court may even say even if they were there 57-51 is 6. Bukola still has simple majority. 6. Was everybody not present in house of rep election? Did they not lose? 7. I pity them because Ayo Salami is out. They need buhari to revoke Ayo's sack. 8. APC just like going to court. Even in Osun state, they still challenged an election they won in court! |

ALTERNATEID:do you know what the constitution says, David Mark would have won it ,had-it been Saraki was not there, the constitution says the house can proceed when at least 38 senators are on seat, you know PDP has 49,so pdp would have just nominated David mark as the senate president, and nothing APC would have done because it takes 2/3 to remove them. So APC should just go and thank Saraki.ok |

Though, recently we have been experienced strange things in our democracy see it changing direction from Buari been defeat incidence Jonathan 2 opposition party determine who emerge as Senate pre and speaker respectively. It's a clear indication of a real define democracy . Even if it was in a decisive manner. Cuz this will give reason for check mating each other over the cause of governance which is main reason for multi Party existence. I see it coming |

Eluwilussit:Let's also award all absent votets vote to jonathan and be fair . . . Learn to make sense in your post, if saraki was so sure of his votes he should have allowed his colleagues to honourably loss, this is common decency that seems lost to pdp minions. I rest my post. |

APC should just thank Saraki, and Blame Buhari for putting a meeting at 9am when the senators were suppose to start electing their leaders, the constitution states that the house can proceed their meeting when they have at-least 38 senators on seat,hard-it been Saraki has obeyed Buhari to attend the meeting, definitely PDP would have voted David Mark as their president and ekweremadu as their vice, and nothing Apc would have done because its constitutional to proceed meeting when at-least 38 senators are on seat, NOTE:PDP has 49 senators more than 38,So APC should just put their heads to shame and thank Saraki for helping them. |

vedaxcool:They were absent by choice. The election was slated for 10 am and they decided to stay away/go for another meeting by 9 am, and you don't see anything wrong in that? It appears to me that the absentee senators were the ones who avoided being disgraced by running away. Isn't Saraki apc? Were the apc reps absent too when gbaja lost? Abi u be jagaban boy? If u think that what happened yesterday was a coincidence, then u are a learner. They simply whittled down Tinubu's influence in the present govt. someone setup that meeting for a reason. |

vedaxcool:Oga. What they are simply saying is that though the APC has a majority does it mean the party representatives can simply walk-out of the chamber, attend other functions and keep the rest of the House waiting. To you, does party programs superceed national programs. It is not like APC has 108 senators and the PDP just 1. You left a potential quorum running in the House and went for a meeting when you have just about a dozen more votes. APC were changing a flat tyre with the engine on and the gear engaged. Even a fly could be elected Senate President with that unprecedented error. |

Tinubu puppets should also prepare to take Buhari to court when ministerial list is out and it doesn't favour tinubu. U better wake up from ur slumber and face reality of change that will cut across. No business as usual. |

Dont blame Lawan and co for going to court, the speed of certain event will over cloud your sense of reasoning, hence when you dont know what to do, you may end up doing nonsense. ![]() tunnamania11: |

Ephemmm:Do the APC folks have option(s)? Election of Saraki was not done in the night and the required number to form quorum is 36 and the senators present were more than 50 yet APC cannot accept that simple defeat. If you think accepting defeat is, go and ask Buhari. |

how does this benefit Ahmed Lawan? he did not participate and the election and so even if the Judge rules in his favour( the judge must be high to do so...the constitution is clear), what's in it for him? he cannot still occupy the seat. even if another election is rescheduled, 57 is greater than 51. |

Courts are always filled with such cases, while innocent people are in custody because of a useless court case. I hate when i hear these things. |

Ok NA please tell the court that the president wrote you a letter that your inauguration will hold by 10.am also tell the court that you were at ICC by 10am because your party leaders called you out also tell the court that they said it was the president that sent for you....the same president that said you will be inaugurated by 10am also tell the court that you expected NIGERIA to wait for you because you were having a political meeting dont forget to tell the court that you went late for your scheduled meeting as a result of your political meeting Because you were late you expect the country to stand still and wait for you. Please dont forget to mention that Infact you have failled in your very first assignment as a senator. Haba...show some remorse and apologize to the people that elected you and to the entire country. |

Ephemmm:You sound pained. You think I'm a PDP fellow because many of you anyone with a different opinion is PDP? PDP played maturity because they know they are not majority in the senate so the presidency should be for APC. It's that simple. |
