Achievements Of Buhari's 11 Days In Office - Cramjones by Nobody: 6:21pm On Jun 10, 2015
The events of the last 11 days shows that Nigeria is definitely on the path to be come great again. This are my objective assessment of this present administration since it took over power.

1. Security: As soon as Buhari took on the mantle of leadership, he immediately set out to reverse the trend of Nigeria leading from behind in the war against Boko Haram. He took a trip to our regional partners - Chad and Niger - seeking to build stronger ties that was shattered by the last administration. In those meetings he assured both presidents Nigeria's commitment to lead the fight. Appointed a Nigerian General as the head of the coalition force. Moved Boko Haram command center to Maiduguri, and invited all the top Generals in Niger, Chad and Cameroun to Nigeria to hold a regional security meeting to draw out ways to defeat the enemy. Finally, he attended the prestigious G7 meeting with a shopping list for Nigeria's security, as well as redefining our relationship with the West. Unfortunately there has been bomb blasts, but PMB is definitely on top of this situation!

2. Corruption: For the presence of PMB, many public office holders have begun to return looted money back to the treasury. The once moribund EFCC and NDLEA are doing there best to put up a show of competence. PMB and PYO submited their asset declaration forms waiting for verification before making a public declaration. Suddenly, many corruption files has already been opened by the EFCC. We are watching to see what happens in the coming months.

3. Petroleum industry: Already PMB is set to appoint himself the Minister of Petroleum. He is recalling PriceWaterHouse Coopers to perform a more detailed audit and get to the root of the missing $20 billlion. PIB has been signed into law. He is taking off subsidy in about a couple of months.

4. Democracy: PMB has shown that the days of political interference by "godfathers" are over. He has refused governors nominating Ministers. Our senators have elected a Senate President without a Buhari interference. He has kept his hands off democratic processes and allowed our democratic institutions to grow. In contrast can you remember Ekitigate? 16 is greater than 19? PMB is different. He will allow institutions to grow and will never make things revolve around one person. This man stated it clearly "I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody" - Indeed, the era of "godfatherism" in politics is coming to an end because he belongs to "nobody", and the era of the people deciding what the want is definitely becoming more glaring because he belongs to "everybody."

5. Press freedom: Only during Buhari's reign did media like SaharaReporters have the freedom to ask sit-tight head of states like Mugabe pertinent questions. Only during PMB did the media feel really free to report on all sides of the coin.

6. International perception: There is no doubt Nigeria is on the rise and looked at more positively on the international front. Several Heads of States around the world believe in PMB, he was invited to the G7. He has promised to look into the Amnesty report of civilian abuse and mass killings by the military. These allegations were largely ignored by XPGEJ. Once again the international community is gradually begging to see the Nigeria in a positive light.

It is just 11 days, there is much more coming Nigeria's way. CHANGE is finally here. Stop the insults. Support PMB for a greater, progressive and just Nigeria!

1. Security: Boko haram are still killing people at will and the president has not shown any sign of seriousness, going to chad and niger amount to nothing because he criticized GEJ for doing same

2. Corruption: A Federal High Court has just dismissed a 19.2bn criminal charge pending against the Former Governor of Bayelsa State, timipre sylva

3. Petroleum industry: He should also probe his administration when he was the head of PTF

4. Democracy: The president called APC senators to ICC for a meeting.

That was after security men blocked national assembly giving elected senators on platform of APC some kind of assurance there will be no business or rather sitting will be postponed till after meeting with the president.

The blockage was removed shortly after APC senators and party leaders gathered at the venue waiting the arrival of Buhari

Buhari never showed up at the venue

The rebel APC senators in connivance with senators elected from other parties met and elected Seraki against the party ( tinubu's wish )

Shortly after election buhari issued statement condemning the indiscipline but agree to work with seraki.

5. Media: is baseless and useless as you, if you need to give anyone credit for SR action, i think it should go to GEJ as buhari was just taking oath of office and yet to kick start his regime. Even at that the point is useless.

You need to get a brain

1 Security : even his Staunchest allies will disagree with you, with the Way he was hammering Skuritea many expected Boko to have started Vanishing by now , but they have rather been celebrating his emergence with style using his campaign songs and slogans to kill daily !

Corruption : We have Timi Walking a free Man today, thanks to Buhari's, The EFCC and the NDLEA started their onslaught before GMB was sworn In

Petroleum Industry: when has the Appointment of self become an achievement ?

Are these saying the APC lack members with the capacity and integrity to manage Nigeria's oil moreover this "achievements" is aa mere rumour.

Democracy : Yes he refused to allow Governors Nominate Ministers but despite having over 60 days to think about his cabinet he is yet to form a government!
No chief of staff No SGF, the Ghost advisers approved for him are no where to be found.

Media : GEJ was the one who created the environment he was in charge up till that moment Buhari was sworn in.
Besides embarrassing a guest is not an achievement except in the kingdom of APC.

International : this is his greatest Failure G7 does not add value to Nigeria by right Nigeria is a member of G7 as the country with the biggest economy in Africa  so attending as an Invitee is an insult!

Moreover, When you calculate the FDI from all the G7 countries it's less than 10 % of what China has invested in Nigeria.
His romance with the wrong People has led to china's refusal to buy our oil due to the snub!

Buhari's only achievements so far is
Taking pictures with World and regional Leaders this one cannot be disputed by anyone !

May God help him to keep his Promises!

Some dumbass are saying Buhari has been travelling up and down doing nothing ..... Any serious president need to reach out to the international community for success in both local and international affairs ..... even Obama came to G7 with a wish list of continuous support of US over sanctions of Russia against Ukraine ...... Buhari just won Nigeria a "conditional-less support" from G7 .....

verily Baba will be heading to South Africa to brief the AU on how Nigeria has been faring and cooperation needed for African to excel economically, politically and be a terrorist free nation.....

Obasanjo also did the same in 1999 to mend the bridges of Abacha woes

Baba is marshalling International resources and bridging the diplomatic gaps created by the "CLUELESS ONE" while after the National Assembly is settled, Baba can now commence Governance in collaboration with the NASS.......

I still prefer Fura da nunu to Ogogoro abegi ooo grin

1. Security: Boko haram are still killing people at will and the president has not shown any sign of seriousness, going to chad and niger amount to nothing because he criticized GEJ for doing same.

GEJ was completely clueless, insensitive and helpless to the plight of his people. He allowed Cameroon and others to take the lead for a fight that affected his people most. Chad and Niger and Cameroon joined the fight out of necessity. Only a foool will think that as soon as PMB is sworn in suicide bombers will stop. I hope you are not a foool that believes in magic rather than hard work and strategy.

2. Corruption: A Federal High Court has just dismissed a 19.2bn criminal charge pending against the Former Governor of Bayelsa State, timipre sylva.

There was simply no evidence at the time. This is not a military regime. Don't be so stupiid.

3. Petroleum industry: He should also probe his administration when he was the head of PTF.

Are you that daft? Probe PTF of 1984? We are talking about $20 billion missing. Wait a minute, I will suggest you go do a brain MRI, who knows your brain matter may have been replace by pus. I don't just get how someone can be this dumb!

4. Democracy: The president called APC senators to ICC for a meeting.

That was after security men blocked national assembly giving elected senators on platform of APC some kind of assurance there will be no business or rather sitting will be postponed till after meeting with the president.

The rebel APC senators in connivance with senators elected from other parties met and elected Seraki against the party ( tinubu's wish )

Shortly after election buhari issued statement condemning the indiscipline but agree to work with seraki.

Buhari will ALWAYS speak out against indiscipline but will allow democracy reign.

5. Media: is baseless and useless as you, if you need to give anyone credit for SR action, i think it should go to GEJ as buhari was just taking oath of office and yet to kick start his regime. Even at that the point is useless.

You need to get a brain

I do have a brain okay? SR could never have walked free in GEJ's presidency. They will be arrested and killed.

Oga how far with your appointment by Buhari, abi someone don do you coup?

@topic, leave all these hype, Buhari administration has not yet kick started otherwise I will remind you of how many bombs that have gone off and scores killed in the last 10 tens you mentioned.

On corruption, you can do justice to your narrative by going specific. It's also under Buhari's watch that corruption charge against the ex governor of Bayelsa Sylvan was struck out.

On PIB, can you please say when the bill was passed and Buhari's input as a president.

This thread must be a joke, this is the same thing shehu did telling nigerians how PMB has publicly declared his assets...

I guess a suicide bomber chanting "Sai Buhari" can also be termed as an achievement in 11 days...

I wonder the kind of thread we see on NL this days...SMH

Buhari is working

cramjones
I want you to ignore them, they are simply dumb, slow and irrational

1 Boko haram still bombing, but the frequency has reduced and so has casualties, Yes they are still operational but Buhari is yet to announce a task force or team to handle these blood suckers, he's been able to negotiate with Chad and Niger president and his G7 travel was not for excursion, remember the mataistane incident? No task force was formed all he did was visit and those people disappeared

Corruption & petroleum industry :: one of the topics here on NL indicated that instead of arrest and trial, those indicted in subsidy or petroleum fraud will have to import petroleum / fuel within a time frame or face execution. Litigation would take forever but this order will force the suspects to import crude from their loots and as such crude price of Petrol will probably reduce to 65 ( supply exceeding demand principle)

Enough said, just sit back relax and let those PDP's goats continue hating

S. 138 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria says thus "The President shall not, dirigible his tenure of office, hold any other executive office or paid employment in any capacity whatsoever"

The all knowing, perfect and infallible President Muhammadu Buhari would be running foul of the law should he attempt to preside over the ministry of petroleum. Aside the unconstitutional nature of such action he equally denies Nigerians the ability to summon the head of the ministry for questioning
As for the rest of the pots stated, it is better not responded to
