macof:With the littering of smileys all over your write-ups, you must be really feeling beat up, while hiding behind the facade of your smileys. At this point, you have absolutely no point at all. One would even wonder what your line of argument is. 1) You claimed I shoudn't call Nollywood movies English-Igbo movies but Nigerian when they are indeed both of them at the same time. Igbo language movies are equally Igbo movies, Nigerian and equally African movies all at the same time. How slower could you get than that? ![]() 2) Next you jumped into piracy, as if it is common only to Nollywood. A simple google search easily proved youu wrong. Hollywood and Bollywood are constantly fighting the thriving piracy within their movie industries. 3) Next you started an emotional tirade abouut not liking Nollywood-Igbo movies, yet you know almost all Nollywood-Igbo movies and can easily cite references to several Nollywood-Igbo movies that you have watched. Emeka Ike should release a next movie titled 'secret admirers'. ![]() 4) Bold...finally common sense that seemed to have eluded you since the past 2 days has returned and you've suddenly realized that I have a choice as to what to call Nollywood movies. Why did you engage in the debate in the first place knowing that I have a choice to my usage of adjectives? 5) So, your point of engaging in your needless debate is to 'correct' me, when there is no correction to be made and I have my own free-will to classify objects? How slower could you get? ![]() 6) adeYEYE abi na oluYEYE, I have told you severally, leave Nollywood movies and their 'poor content', 'cultural hogwash' alone. You are exponentially insignificant to the umpteenth degree to Nollywood-Igbo movies and the gross millions of dollars they make every year. Millions of people in Yorubaland LOVE, LOVE and LOVE Nollywood-Igbo movies. I can hear your heart beat 10 times in a row to hear this. Ndo, nna. Hating, just like Wale your brother will do you no good. ![]() 7) Alaba boys will continue to remind you and folks who the rightful owners of Nollywood are. Nollywood is solidly in the hands of Alaba, Upper Iweka and Aba boys. No movie production takes place without passing through them. ![]() 8.) Major English movies by non-Igbo producers were allowed to proceed on approval by AGN. There you have 30 days in atlanta and co. making waves and performing well. Igbos are accommodating and grant opportunities to talented ones, Igbo and non-Igbo alike. 9) For your information, 'iiya' means several things in Igbo language. ![]() 10) There are tons of Igbo language movies out there. A channel has been introduced on DSTV dedicated to Igbo language movies. Check the channel out. ![]() |

There's no point going in circles. ..infact I don't have that time You are known to be bigoted At least for others with more tolerance and respect for others, I've tackled your fallacies. I Repeat Nollywood is not Igbo property but Nigerian, even Ghanaians have contributed to the industry You can keep deluding urself anyway |

bigfrancis21:Those are mere soaps. No wonder they don't know home videos and nollywood started in 1992. Other tribes plus igbos were all making films before then but home videos and the industry proper happened in 1992. |

macof:You did insinuate Papa Ajasco was a movie by comparing it to regular Nollywood movies. For a self-acclaimed movie fanatic, I would suggest you take refreshers class in movie studies and production. Your apparent lack of knowledge and information of the Nigerian movie industry stinks to the highest degree. |
| Re: Emeka Ike Founded Nollywood In 1992 Yoruba & Hausa Not A Part Of It-wale Adenuga by bigfrancis21: 12:58pm On Jun 11, 2015 |
macof:It baffles me as to why someone who claims to be busy would be arguing cluelessly over the last 4 days. I tell you what, I'm busy as well and I have zero tolerance for trolls but I squeeze out time from my busy schedule to deal with trolls. |
| Re: Emeka Ike Founded Nollywood In 1992 Yoruba & Hausa Not A Part Of It-wale Adenuga by macof(m): 8:51pm On Jun 11, 2015 |
bigfrancis21:I brought that up to make you think outside ur tiny box Here's the all knowing one who discredits and denies the contribution of other Nigerians (and even Ghanaians) in building Nollywood Dude stop lying to yourself |
| Re: Emeka Ike Founded Nollywood In 1992 Yoruba & Hausa Not A Part Of It-wale Adenuga by bigfrancis21: 9:55pm On Jun 11, 2015 |
macof:Lol, troll. I never discredited other Nigerians in any of my posts. Ghanaians collaborate with Nollywood to produce movies because of the wider consumer base for Nollywood movies. This collaboration only started as recently as the last couple of years after Nollywood had garnered popularity and success. The growth of Nollywood between the period 1992 and late 2000s was spurred on by mostly Igbos, and I say that bodly. I won't underplay the contribution of Igbos to Nollywood just because it makes you insecure and envious. |

bigfrancis21:All through this thread you have downplayed the contribution of other Nigerians. .. Do you now admit that ur previous claim of Nollywood movies are igbo movies" is false? |

macof:Now you're crying like a tiny little girl. Just like Wale, you're crying for recognition, a recognition that isn't even due to you. Imposing your insignificant needless self on Nollywood-Igbo movie producers and directors that are oblivious of your existence. You have a problem with attaching 'Igbo' to Nollywood because the word 'Igbo' gives you sleepless nights. You wouldn't have a problem if it were Nollywood-Yoruba or Nollywood-Hausa. You would be all over the thread supporting why Nollywood-Yoruba is correct. Hypocrisy. Nollywood-Igbo movies are the way to go in Nigeria! The pride of Nigerian movie industry! Go NOLLYWOOD-IGBO movies! Osukosu nwa mkpi nya biko sugbuo nya. |
