It will take one man = 10x days
If there are 10 men less and 10 more days to finish,
10x/(x-10) = 10+10
10x/(x-10) = 20
10x= 20(x-10)
10x=20x-200
10x-20x= -200
-10x= -200
x= 20.

There were 20 men.

it's an inverse proportion. If the job takes 5 men 2 days, how many days will it take 1 man? Just multiply 2 by 5 and you'll get 10.

So, if the job takes x men 10 days, it will take 1 man how many days? Ehn, ehn, you gat it? X multiplied by 10, i.e, 10x days.
