Good evening guys, it is my joy to say "Hello" to the humble and hardworking members/aspirants/ this evening. I hope everybody is doing fine.
The University of Ibadan post UTME form is sure to be out this month, and as we eagerly anticipate it's release, it is important that we know and note the following as it helps to streamline and "ginger" our preparation.
1. Since there are lot of textbooks on various subjects, there is no time to waste on reading like 2 or 3 textbooks on a subject. Just reading one will be OK and effective. For BIOLOGY-College Biology by Dr Idodo Umeh. CHEMISTRY-Understanding Chemistry by Godwin Ojokuku OR Lamlard Chemistry by F.O.I Ayinde et al. PHYSICS-New School Physics by Dr M.W Anyakoha. USE OF ENGLISH-Wisdom line pass at once english OR A-Z JAMB's Use of English/Invisible teacher by Dele Ashade. MATHEMATICS-Distinction in Mathematics by A.Adelodun OR Maths textbook by J.R Afolabi.
Using these materials effectively, A candidate can increase his or her chance to score above 90 if not 100. For More about UI post UTME logistics, Examination ethics, 2-day to post UTME tutorial, UI post UTME past questions(2012-2014), and other vital info-08037737245.

Hey Oluwaseun, well done that was awesome. You made some mistakes though, see nos 3 and 5 whose options are A and C respectively. The no 7 is given as a bonus, leaving you with 80%.

Judging from your monicker 'thaoTECH', I guess you just played around the questions because you are basically an Engineering aspirants judging from the 'tech'.
So am not gonna make a fuss, it's justifiable.

Please see nos: 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 whose options are A, B, C, B, D.

OGOJNR the Medicine man(not a witch doctor), your Medicine has indeed done justice to my questions.

Please see question 8, the correct option is D and not A.

On the flip side, you can see how this post appears with your post on top of my reply...I used the 'Quote' below your options posted so you can easily see that you have gotten a reply. I suggest you incorporate that ideology as one of your notions.

I deal basically with 'mentions'. If you don't quote, then write the name of the person you are talking with or about correctly, it sure goes a long way.

Well done once again.

You really think so? Cos with NECO set to finish writing it examinations on 10th of July, what will UI expect of aspirants sitting for it? When it usually and mandatorily demanded that all O'level be submitted before/on the 31th of August, except there are unforeseen changes ahead.

Its not the size of the fish lol, its more about the Cartilagenous fishes and bony fishes.

Cartilagenous fishes have only gill slits no operculum eg whale, skates, shark, rays et cetera

Bonyfishes include the Tilapia(both species of zilli and galilea), salmon, tuna et cetera.

You are most welcome sir.

ONE DESTINATION, NUMEROUS BUS-STOPS.

In Life, any journey is as important as the destination. In fact, in a great book, 'The Art of Pilgrimage', the author noted that: 'A journey without challenges has no meaning'

In a song by Asa, 'Bed of stones' a part of the lyric reads:

'She's been sleeping on a bed of stone, By a window where no light goes, She wakes to the row of the traffic rumbling outside,
Then she remembers her dream and smiles'

What I want you to note about that lady was that despite all she is going through she has never forgotten about her dreams, her aspirations.

No one cares the year you got out of High school, how many times you have written the UTME, what you look like, your background, how many Universities you have attempted at before winding up at the University of Ibadan.

I for example have written the UTME four times, attempted at UNILAG, attempted at a Scholarship at the University of Westminster, London(Nigeria was not on the list of supported countries), LAUTECH(Pre-degree) now am at U.I,.

I could have as well have settled for anything I was offered, but no way, I am not settling for anything less than God's best. It's just a sense of mission.

You don't want to show up at heaven's gate one day in the far future and feel bitter that you didn't become all you could be.

'I want to scale the utmost height And catch a gleam of glory bright...Lord plant my feet on higher ground'

To get to the promised land, you'll have to navigate your way through the wilderness. All of us encounter obstacles, problems and challenges across our paths. How we respond to them and view them is one of the most important decisions that we can make.

I know of a man in his 70s studying Medicine in LAUTECH, a lady who got a first-class from Lead city University after getting pregnant in her Undergraduate days at UNILORIN which made her drop out, a whole lot of GrandPas bagging Firstclass' here and there.

You know what, a man with twenty challenges is twice as alive as a man with ten. If you haven't got any challenges, you should get down on your knees as ask, 'Lord, don't you trust me anymore?' So what if you've got problems. That's good! Why? Because consistent victories over your problems are the steps on your stairway to success. Be thankful for your problems

'In this world you will have troubles. But take heart! I have overcomed the world' (John 16:33, NIV)

On a final note, seek Grace. Grace is the difference between the heathen and the saint, the redeemed and the condemned, the living and the dead. The dead are not more sinful than the living. It is grace that has made your being alive possible.

Psalm 130:3 says 'If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O LORD, who could stand'

That point being struck, we are human and most times we feel we know it all, I can read for 7hrs non-stop, I know all the works of shakespeare, what the heck is in Chemical equilibrium, who doesn't know when lyttleton promulgated his law?

My brother/sister, that's not the basis, everything hangs on a balance. It's only God that can do exceedingly above all that you can think, dream or aspire about.

However, Grace without works is dead.

In essence don't quit finish what you started!.

Good morning, The University of Ibadan.

PHYSICS Que. Please Don't Ignore!!!

1. A missile weighing 400N on the earth's surface is shot into the atmosphere to an altitude of 6.40 x 10^6m, taking the earth as a sphere of radius 6.40 x 10^6m. What would be the weight of the missile at that altitude?

2. Assuming that the mean density of the earth is 5500kg/m^3, that the constant of gravitation is 6.7 x 10^-11 and that the radius of the earth is 6400km. Find a value for the acceleration due to gravity at the earth's surface.

3. What would happen to the earth's period of revolution if its mass was three times as great as it is?
