What a disgrace!

What did Jay-z do for the people of Kwara state, that merited all these pomp and pageantry? His wife was even brought to Nigeria with a huge amount of money just to sing our national anthem.

Whereas a man like Shehu Sani who literally fought for the democracy we enjoy today, even as far as going to prison for holding pro-democracy rallies and protest during Babangida and Abacha's regime, has not even been rewarded with a bottle of coca-cola by any community in Nigeria, let alone a horse and a street named after him.

Quite unfortunate that Saraki, the man who sure wasted Kwara state people's money on this irrelevant show, is our Senate President today.

We sure do have crappy leaders who keeping putting square pegs in round holes. undecided

Thanks to some guys who quoted me and pointed out my ignorance. So, he is actually NOT a sheikh BUT he still has a title and a street was even named after him. What exactly is Jay-Z's contribution to the Nigerian economy? Just because he came for a concert he had to be given a title and have a street named after him?

I'm a big Jay Z fan but until wiz kid has street named after him in the US just because then I still find this a highly misplaced priority

He is not a sheikh and last I checked GEJ and OBJ were both turbaned during their reign

Well said OP, I can witness to this anytime, anyday. It is specifically located in Kwara State Polytechnic main campus, Yakuba, Ilorin South LGA, Kwara State. The road that leads the school gate to the school campus. Take it from a KwaraPoly alumni (Computer Science ND 2012 set, graduates of year 2014).
