It just doesn't make sense at all. I mean why kill your own people just to advance your political ambition? How about the fact that boko haram is no longer a Nigerian problem but a sub regional menace? Many theories abound on the origin of boko haram but I think radicalization and indoctrination borne out of socio-economic challenges might also be a factor.
