We all know Blackberry, a giant mobile company that onced dominated the mobile world with their smartphone devices and now, it seems they have lost that position to other companies such Android and the iOS. A rumour which might actually turn out to be true which clearly reveals of how blackberry intends producing smartphones that runs Android rather than its Blackberry 10 platform.

This move by the company is a part of its strategy to focus on device management and software as a hope for its failed success with its Blackberry 10 platform. This information was stated by Reuters,

"BlackBerry (BB.TO) is considering equipping an upcoming smartphone with Google Inc.'s (GOOGL.O) Android software for the first time, an acknowledgement that its revamped line of devices has failed to win mass appeal, according to four sources familiar with the matter".

It is not clear on what the future of BlackBerry 10 devices will be but blackberry made it clear in an email stating " We don't comment on rumors and speculation, but we remain committed to the BlackBerry 10 operating system, which provides security and productivity benefits that are unmatched".

According to sources, BlackBerry potential launch of an Android phone would be sending a signal to skeptics that it is confident that the BES12 system can not only manage, but also secure smartphones and tablets powered by rival operating systems.

Another source also reveal that the Android phone would likely be a “slider device”, and that it will be launched anytime soon. The device would have a physical keyboard, as BlackBerry is known for, and a touch display that users can use if they prefer.
