Whynotthetruth: I seriously don't get you.....until you accept the fact that you're biased in your analysis this won't go anywhere I have to say that including ebonyi state was funny...despite being 'debt free' what does the state have to show for the money allocated to them....atleast the states with 'debts' have something to show for it No one is '' defending the ineptitude of these thieves"...the only thing anyone is pointing out here is your 'bias' and the 'hypocrisy' you're hammering on I'd also like to see you 'analyse' other states owing aside SW states.....one question why SW?? 3 Likes |

AhmedMustapha: Imo state is the only SE state that's being declared insolvent by CBN notwithstanding it gets the highest allocation in the entire SE... Having declared Osun state insolvent giving the huge exposure to internal and external debts including the interests...now add it to the arrears of civil servants for more than seven months running now...deduct it from their average of their federal allocation noting that federal government is NOT owing them any kobo...and tell me when they will be free... Kindly note that the external debts aside the ever increasing interest will keep growing with depreciation of the naira... |

Whynotthetruth:I no get time for your PDP vs APC now. However, common sense should make you appreciate that if the FG needed to borrow to pay salaries since March (?), many states being in debt should not be surprising. If GEJ is not to be blamed for the states' precarious situations, he MUST surely be held accountable for the mind boggling indebtedness of the FG. Abi na lie? And why must your conditions be the only acceptable ones? You funny guy. Like I said earlier, Aregbe and Ajimobi messed up but the deed is done and I support whatever ways to make them answer for any wrongdoing they may have engaged in. Dem no be my uncle or brothers. |

Truckpusher: You just missed the bus, you should be knocking yourself in the head and ask what you were thinking when your brother was in charge for 6 years and only 2 weeks after his departure you suddenly realize he left nothing enduring for you all except his family. rather than start knocking his head from behind to know why he is in that position, you all joined him in revelry and never knew it was already dawn. You all joined the court jesters to deceive him that he is the greatest and failed to tell him home truth of reality that he is as naked as his kinsmen until he ran the whole country aground. Continue to bask in the queer moment of fame, at least your brother too has been president. 1 Like |

PassingShot: Nigeria is cash strapped because crude oil is cheap. That is the reality, any other postulation is nonsense. Some states are already financially bankrupt, there is nothing to deduct from them in case a bailout is offered. No matter what is done, the constitution, rule of law and our separation of powers doctrine will and must remain the guide. Ask yourselves one simple question, why are some waiting for a bailout, is simply robbing Peter to pay Paul. As the OP stated on this thread, people need to deal with their local problem and stop making them Nigeria's problems. |

Having read the thread from page 0 to page 3, I feel so sad with the level of deploration that our federating units have become. @Whynotthetruth: You did well by bringing out the ills of states though I would have preferred that you do a total analyses instead of comparative analyses. Some people misinterpreterd your intentions to be targeting a particular region based on their own assessment. Anyway, you did well. |

The Op is an ibo that wants to denigrate the SW! I can't believe Aigbofa and the rest of you fell for it! Every negative story they write about SW/Yoruba, they ibos/SE have it worse but, hide it. Example is 7 months payments a Yoruba governor owe making daily news by ibos, while an ibo governor that is owing 10 months is almost invisible! 5 Likes |
