huptin: Thanks so much bro...I love your submissions to a great extent...but now; 1)Most states you mentioned in SE owe in patches to singular sectors not the bulk of its civil servants... 2)To say Osun state has more workforce than Anambra is a big lie...I remember brownlord sharing his personal experience of Osun state workforce especially in education sector here...which is a far departure from the scene in Anambra state... 3)Soludo to show he was doing a hatchet job was insulting Jonathan for not saving and in same article criticizing Peter Obi for saving...how biased can one get?...He lost my respect for speaking from both sides of his mouth at same time... 4)SW is worst hit because Osun is far dead economically for the next 30years...Oyo is neck deep in debt alongside Ogun...intact all of them including Lagos...but SE have some exceptional states...Anambra is doing well economically and in infrastructure development...They have the best road network in Nigeria currently... 5)If you read the original post...you will see where I noted that Imo state led by Rochas has no business being declared insolvent only if they had good leaders like their neighbors;Anambra...Remember, Imo state is oil producing state like Ondo unlike Anambra... 6)Igbo migrate not because their state is underdeveloped but rather do to the issue of comparative advantage in business opportunity, development and management...Shell, GE etc are in Nigeria not because Nigeria is more developed than USA but same reason as above... 7)Debts here isn't just salaries but domestic and international debt burden of different states...All SW states are owing so much... Your problem has less to do with leadership at centre(Both Jonathan and Abacha you listed above) than in the grassroots... your LGA and states with Tinubu factor through proxies and companies for inflated contracts.... 9)SW gained more in terms of infrastructure from Jonathan than SE...#fact# 10)Your problem is within... 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Southwest advisers. We dont need your advice, your region need more of it. Abia, Imo, Ebonyi, are owing salaries except Anambra but you keep screaming SW. I know this is another SW bashing thread, we will be here to reply in kind. 3 Likes |

AhmedMustapha: Bros, I don't understand your line of argument... Is it that ALL SW states are not owing domestically and internationally? Is it my stance that these debts burden are not sustainable? Is it my submission that these people are enslaving generations unborn?...At the moment, Osun is already owing for the next 30years...How do you explain to a child born today, that his future has been mortgaged negatively till adulthood... As for Abia state; they knew where the problem came from and they fought it and are continuing through tribunal...BTW Note that the issue in Abia is about a part(Aba; commercial centre) of the state feeling neglected and abandoned while other part (Umuahia; administrative centre) is being pushed ahead... Problem of SW is in individuals not in platforms... 3 Likes 2 Shares |

patrickmuf: Hehehehehe...My concern here is that we shift our attention to where our problem is...federal government is NOT a grassroot government... Have you ever asked a question, on what the money from federal government MONTHLY to your LGA is used for...how about the state?...how about your legislatures?...If you think I am biased here; I challenge you to open your own thread, structure it however you want and invite me for deliberations on facts not sentiments... thanks... BTW federal government can always take care of itself unlike States...hence my attention is on states...I chose to do comparative analysis of two regions of my choice... |

After1one: Hehehehe...don't be myopic bro... 1)Because of your prejudice, you fail to comprehend the post before rushing here to display ineptitude... 2)This thread is about exposure to external debts in terms of loans, obligations etc both domestically and internationally... 3)Don't always see or view stuff through your tribal lens...this is the reason for this thread... 4)SW will be free the day people like you refuse to use the three prong criteria of religion, tribe, and party to determine truths and facts... 5)How can you be calling me a hater when your "enemy" within has made it that for the next 30years, the sons & daughters of Osun state will be paying ONLY debts...same to other SW states...instead of confronting him, you're shielding him and fighting me... 6)I am today an adviser to you because due to your bigotry, you fail to know that wise men learn from both the wise and foolish...Best advise must NOT come from your kinsman...grow up Boy!!! 2 Likes |

[s] Whynotthetruth:[/s] Rubbish from a bigot. You are the one to grow up and stop pouring smelling spit everywhere. Your region is owing same as SW states, your region is not dubai nor eldorado. Abia is in ruins but you have not open a thread to advice them, nothing to write home about Ebonyi but the chief adviser is making noise about SW. Pls face your region and allow SW people to complain, this thread will be necessary if the people of the SW are trooping to your region to beg which is not the case. Pls advice yourself before advising others. 5 Likes 1 Share |

I may not be talented in writing, but I do know the APC WAS not change Nigeria needed. no matter what you tell and show to an APC followers, they will still not believe, even with glaring evidence to buttress your point. the reason for that is not far fetched. I guess many of them have been brain washed, no matter what u say it won't hold water, that include the party big wigs. I live in rivers state, I was here when Rotimi ameachi reclaimed his mandate through the court with the help of wike. everybody in rivers state including myself love the man because he hit the ground running from the first day and he perform wonderfully well. that was his first tenure. but the Man became something else when he started missing with APC Folks then ACN . No new project Was started After his eventual defection to the APC . even the once he started befor his defection was abandoned. there is more to APC than people know. I just pity the brain washed followers. 2 Likes |

atlwireles:In as much as I don't want to blame Jonathan, under whose watch the affected states and indeed the FG became insolvent, he contributed in no small measures. That's incontrovertible. @the topic, we have to always consider inequalities in allocation of states. That Akwa Ibom or Delta state is not crying does not mean their employees are not groaning. In the SW states you mentioned, it's unfortunate that the affected governors failed to save for rainy days as now. I will support an FG bailout on: 1. Deduct reasonable amount from monthly allocation of states that are eventually bailed out. 2. FG pays directly into accounts of state's employees, their owed salary arrears while deducting on monthly basis from the state allocation. 2 Likes |

SarahBabyxx: Sure, I know this topic is a subtle abi delicate issue especially coming from a non-indigene...but the truth must come from somewhere and my moniker forces me to do the needful And to allay fears of bigots and ethnic champions, I had to also xray my misgivings with SE states that are erring too...You came in and dropped bottle of origin for someone who's defending the ineptitude of these thieves in the mold of leaders using the maxim; others are owing too...Does my father being a robber justify my having to toe same line?...Some days we need to drop sentiments and give some hard knocks in the mold of truth even to our best of friends... How do you feel knowing your state is owing debts for the next 30years?...how old are you now? Add 30 to it and see when some people will become free that's if they do not borrow again from now onwards... Instead of confronting such leaders, their people are confronting me for speaking up...what kind of people are we?... 3 Likes |

Re: FIGHTING THE "ENEMY" WITHIN... by AhmedMustapha(m): 5:27pm On Jun 14, 2015 |
Whynotthetruth:Well I don't know if you have any recent information on the economic buoyancy of Nigerian states but as at 2007 the top 10(in terms of GDP) had 4SS states, 2 NW states 3 SW states and 1SE state. Again on the debts some states are sunk in, if you checked that report I quoted it stated that most of the oil-rich states were indebted so the issue is prevalent across the political divide. Osun state YES is at its lowest ebb and I've countlessly denounced the governors incompetence but if you want to go political Osun is actually doing better under the APC. As for Abia, salaries running into months haven't been paid and the partiality of the government in the equitable distribution of the dividends of democracy confirms its inefficacy 2 Likes |

ur problem has less to doonathan than SE...#fact# 10)Your problem is within...[/quote] Abia and Imo do not owe partially, they owe in total, in the south west only Osun is really bad. You mentioned American businesses in Nigeria, yes they are businesses not the whole american citizenry, how many Americans stay outside American, even the chinese what is the proportion of the chinese outside China to the one in China? Bros if about 50% of a group has to migrate outside their domain to survive, it can only mean one thing, the region lacks basic means of sustaining its citizenry, it is As simple as that, even the jews had to move back home when they realised that east or west home is the best. If there are enough industries and jobs and market opportunties easterners would have gone back since, moving the head offices of their business in the east while maintaining branches in other regions, just like every body world wide does, but my dear there are not enough ooportunities for even the indigenes talk less of asking others to migrate east wards for their daily bread. The east is in a far more dire situation than any other region, the whole Nigeria knows it, thats why no body takes you seriously. If Nigeria breaks today, the east will have to start from a scratch, from ports to airports, to railways, to good motorable road network, good universities (apart from UNN kindly mention another standard university in the east) industries etc. You really have a lot of catching up to do. So concentrate on the east and leave the west, we will always sort ourselves out. Thank you. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Thanks for the message, OP! Your shoulders aren't bearing your head for the fun of it; it's worth the stress. See my signature! Propaganda and reality are two distinct things. Propaganda may get you a job; reality check mates you. I will be lying if I tell you I'm happy with what's happening in states where workers are still being owed salaries. Some workers haven't received their pays in over 6 months. It's indeed a terrible position. The momentum of change preached by the APC during the campaigns is gradually getting dull as reality now stare them in the faces. There's NO quick fix to our problems, and BUBU can't conjure any magics! It's indeed the time to look within and be sincere with ourselves. While we can control our choices in life, we can't control the consequences of our choices. That's outside our circle of influence. I've been apolitical in recent days. Just standing by the sidelines and watch events unfold. Opposition sweet die! 2 Likes 1 Share |

PassingShot: Bro, Oyo state for example inherited more than $76m debt, Ogun state under PDP was a dead state with huge debt and lack of infrastructure until Amosun took over 4 years ago to revive the state and its now the most industralized state now. Aregbe also inherit huge debt but he has messed up lately which every sane mind have condemn and also ridicule him here lately. Abia state is in ruins with huge debt and nothing to show for it but the hypocrite advisor cant advise them, when last dis they commission a cage in Ebonyi yet its in debt and owing salaries but the hypocrite singed out SW like his own region is debt free and now eldorado. I hate bigots and hypocrites. 1 Like 1 Share |

Why is cost of contracts costlier than in PDP states?....where are the sophisticated and heartless thieves actually?...how can one jeopardize his state future for a whopping 30years... |
