Rubbish, if you are not handicapped go to places where young men hustle and hustle there stop wallowing in self pity. In case you don't know where young en hustle here is a list
1. Private schools, primary and secondary, there you would see other young men like yourself looking for better jobs but using their current jobs as a means to an end. They are always carrying tuesday guardian newspaper seeking for fresh vacancies. Here is a place to interact with people and share experiences don't live in isolation.
2 Security firms they are also like private schools.
3 Sales boys in supermarket.
The list is endless. Don't sit with fools who boast about looking for jobs in multinationals, those are the stories you here in NYSC camps.
Don't look down on these humble jobs you can solicit the help of a patron from such jobs. I remember being introduced to a high rankinga central bank official in a state after teaching her son in my private lesson the boy performed exceptionally well in an interview, so she demanded that the head teacher who recommended me for the lesson should arrange for her to meet with me, she spoke favourably with me about giving me a job but i left the state before it materialized. Also learn to strive for excellence in any responsibility given to you.

A friend of mine recently got invited for an interview in one of the best and foremost secondary schools in Nigeria. However, ever since the invitation she has been fidgeting because this is her first interview. She doesn't really know how to prepare or what to expect. They said she will be required to give a lesson and she also doesn't know how to go about that. She asked for my help but I lacked the proper experience in this jurisdiction so I am calling on Nairalanders with experience in matters such as this especially when it concerns getting an A-list teaching job with a very very fat pay. Please help us with your tips, experiences, expectations, dress code, or even a link or recommended book and virtually any other thing you can help with. Nothing is too small to help us with. Thanks in anticipation.

golden doctor has said it all but let me just add little
prepare a very good lesson note that is student centered,
use a wide range of instructional materials,
make sure you don't choose a topic to impress
choose a topic you can teach even while sleeping(effortlessly)
Don't be a radio teacher, systematically pause for the learners
response after which u can continue,
most importantly maintain eye contacts, this really goes a
long way coz it says a lot about you( ur boldness, confidence)
be yourself , don't rehearse nor perform but teach remember
the classroom is not a studio.
always evaluate in between your lessons
your class management should also be waoowww
mind your English composition and tenses( not because u
don't understand English but to avoid mistakes)
wear something you are comfortable on. I don't know if u are
a lady or a man but if u are a lady make sure your hair is well
packed at the back and not obstructing your view, if you are a
man then use a very good belt, not q baggy jean nor a
timberland canvass remember you are not going to a disco
party nor a club.
avoid the use of unofficial languages e.g u guyz, skelewu, etc.
at the same time avoid the constant use of one particular
word.
before I forget ,teach with an audible voice such that the
person at the back will be able to hear you clearly. this shows
that you are sure of what you are teaching but remember you
don't necessarily have to shout so that one doesn't become a
nuisance
if you speak queens English Glory be to God but please let it
be clear but if you speak our normal Nigerian English please
be careful with your pronounciation.
this will be my little quota for now wish u the best.
You called this little quota This would really go a long way.I
would work with all the advice. Thanks & God bless.
